WE PROJECT

Attention All Students: There is a meeting of the WE Project today at lunch in room 155. Please bring your lunch and join us.We are making final plans for our Mental Health fund raising activity next week.  
New members are always welcome.

BADMINTON NEWS
The Senior Badminton Team competed at the City Championships at St. Clair College yesterday. Please congratulate our singles teams of Tina Dobos and Larissa Duchime for qualifying for County, as well as our doubles team of Sophia Pham and Spencer Sales, who placed 4th overall. 
A special mention goes out to Taylor Nugent and Iarid Gomes. 
After a long day of 8 matches and over 16 games, the girls won the silver medal to advance to the County Championships next week. 
Congratulations team.

 DANCE TEAM

 This is a reminder to all members of dance team that there will be a quick meeting and rehearsal for the dance showcase after school in the cafetorium. If you can't make it please let Miss Donais or Shakira know in advance.

 BOYS BASEBALL

 There will be a boys baseball practice tomorrow, WEDNESDAY, after school as our originally scheduled home opener game has to be rescheduled due to an unplayable diamond.  
Please dress for all weather.  
Also, make sure to see Miss McGuire to sign the WECSSA Code of Conduct or you will not be permitted to play.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 
Attention:  Grads
Each year, St. Joe’s is proud to offer over 20 scholarships and bursaries to our graduating students donated by friends and sponsors of our school. 
A committee of staff members and parents will select the winners and announce the names at graduation. 
You’re eligible for these awards if you: 
  • are a graduating student who will be in college or university in September
  • have a pretty solid academic record and 
  • have been involved in the life of the school and the community.
Come into the Guidance Office and follow the directions to request an application.
The deadline for submission is Thursday, April 26th.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 
Art In The Park is now accepting volunteers for their annual event June 2nd and 3rd!!!

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board is pleased to be a part of the Focus on Youth summer program for children and youth and the online student application is now open.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
