Thursday's Announcements

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY Harmony in Action is in need of volunteers this weekend for their "Tootsie Roll Campaign". If you are looking for a great way to get some of your volunteer hours done, please see Mrs. Walls in Campus Ministry for more information. STAFF DINING LOUNGE The staff dining lounge will be open until today  and the last staff luncheon will take place on Friday . The hospitality class would like to thank all who payed tribute to this room. Those who might be interested in still buying pizza for different occasions, we could accommodate you till the end of the school year. Freezer clean out items will be posted during the last week. ATTENTION GRADS Several scholarship applications available in the Guidance office.  Take a look at the Scholarship board outside of the Guidance office or the Guidance page of the School Portal for details. See Mrs. Bon-Pickering today after school for any of these applications. FROZEN YOGURT  Starting Today, May 29th, the life sills program at St. Joe's will be selling frozen yogurt for $2.50 out of room 111, on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Please come to room 111 between  11:40 and noon  Tuesdays and Fridays to purchase a frozen yogurt and to support of the Life Skills program here at St. Josephs. WE PROJECT  Attention All Students: There is a meeting for the WE Project today in room 155 at lunch. Please bring your lunch and join us. New members are always welcome. AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS  Reminder to all graduates: Several scholarship applications are available with deadlines in May and June.  Check the bulletin board outside of the Guidance office or the Guidance section of the school portal to see if you qualify.  See Mrs. Bon-Pickering for any of these applications. VOLUNTEER HOURS  St Peter's Annual Church Festival is looking for student volunteers to help with a variety of tasks beginning the week of  June 25th to July 3  from early mornings to late evenings. A minimum commitment includes 4 hours per day and preference will be given to students of grades 11-12 Tasks will include food prep, games setup, booth, tent, table and stage set up as well as maintenance Contact information along with further details  can be found on the Volunteer Board across from Guidance ALSO   Volunteers are needed for the 6th Annual Heart Breaker Challenge fundraising event that supports Cardiac, Pulmonary and Stroke Rehabilita

SPRING CONCERT Wow, the first Spring Concert is TOMORROW NIGHT.  Come out to the show TOMORROW NIGHT at  6pm.  The second show is during per. 1 ONLY on  Thursday May 24th .  Support the Concert Band, who won a SILVER PLUS at MusicFest, as well as various soloists and all of their HARD WORK preparing for this event.  Admission is free to students.   SHSM HEALTH AND WELLNESS  There are applications for summer school co-op for SHSM Health and Wellness students. If you are interested , come to the phys. ed office to get the application from Miss Fogolin. Forms must be completed and submitted by  June 1st . SPRING CONCERT The Spring Concert is next week!!!  Come out to one of the 2 shows.  One show is at  6pm  on  Wednesday May 23rd  and the other is during per. 1 ONLY on  Thursday May 24th .  If you ask your teacher politely to go to the Thursday show per. 1, maybe they will let your class attend!!  Both shows are free to students.
