Wednesday's Announcements

PRAISE TEAM Attention all members of the Praise Team. We will have rehearsals during lunch  on Wednesday  and  Thursday this week  in the music room. If you are unable to stay for the whole rehearsal, please come by the music room and let Mrs. Dietrich or Mrs. Cabana know. WE PROJECT  Attention All Students:  Sales of Dress down passes and raffle tickets on the bicycle are $2.00. These can be obtained from your homeroom teacher. All money raised will be for the Windsor Youth Centre that provides help for homeless teens in Windsor. Please be generous and get involved by buying a ticket to supoport this very worthy cause in our community. The dress down day is  Friday June 2, 2017 . That's  this Friday ! OPEN MIC / COFFEE HOUSE Attention All Students:  Tickets for the Coffee House / Open Mic Event are on sale in the atrium at lunch everyday this week. SAC ELECTIONS Anyone wishing to run as a Grade Rep for next year's Student Council must submit forms to Campus Ministry no later than  3pm  today. Forms are still available in Campus Ministry. Please stop by as soon as possible to pick them up. All forms are due by  3pm  today, no late submissions will be accepted. GRADUATION COMMITTEE Just a reminder to all Staff Members who are on the Graduation Committee that we will be meeting today, at lunch, in the conference room. Attention All Students: There is a meeting today at lunch in room 155 for all students involved in the Coffee House/Open Mic Event. Also for those students who want to entertain that day please attend this meeting at lunch so we can finalize a performance schedule for  Friday .

FOOTBALL T o all students who signed-up for football next season; a reminder that our Spring camp will be taking place  next week Monday   to   Thursday ,   3 PM until 4:30 PM   on the football field. FATHER ZAKOOR VOTING Teachers, Please take the opportunity to vote for our Father Zakoor winner today and  tomorrow , at lunch and after school in Room 208! Thank you. STUDENT COUNCIL Anyone wishing to run to be a Grade Level Representative on next year's student council must pick up forms in Campus Ministry today or  tomorrow . All forms must be filled out & handed in my  3pm   on Monday  in order to be eligible to run. GRAD DAY VOLUNTEERS Attention: to those interested and willing (and being voluntold by Mr. Hind) that are helping out with the Grad Day/Rose Ceremony, there will be a short meeting directly after this announcement in room 161 to discuss what needs to be done.   Reem Abouzeeni, Andy Moro, Lauren Toma, Lauren Schram, Grace Santin and Thomas Kennedy, Mr. Hind is hoping you can make this meeting. SENIOR BOYS SOCCER A reminder to all members of the Senior Boys Soccer team that there will be a meeting in CORE Services today after school. Tuesday's Announcements

PRAISE TEAM All those wishing to be a part of the music for the end of year mass, please come to the chapel today during lunch, for a rehearsal.   Anyone wishing to perform a solo or who has any ideas for the program of music for the mass, is asked to let Mrs. Dietrich know today.  Please come to the chapel at lunch to speak to her. The mass is just 2 short weeks away!  Attendance at rehearsals is important to make sure you are prepared to be a part of the mass. If you have any questions or concerns or are unable to attend the rehearsal, please see Mrs. Cabana. PLEASE HAVE TEACHERS TURN THEIR TVs TO CHANNEL 42 FOR A BRIEF EUROPE PROMO VIDEO (on desktop- and then play please!) PHYSICS CONTEST On Thursday May 4, several thousand of the best and brightest grade 12 physics students from all over Canada, USA and the rest of the world wrote the presitgious and very difficult Sir Isaac Newton Physics contest administered by the University of Waterloo. 4 students from St. Joe's wrote the contest this year (Dante Bisetto, Aby Sabzwari, Sevan Ohanyan, and Anthony Pham) All students did admirably well with Dante, Aby, and Sevan earning honourable mentions.   A very special congratulation goes out to Anthony Pham who for the second year in a row finished in the Top 100 students in the world.   To give you an idea of how difficult this contest is, Anthony correctly answered 6 out of the 12 problems on the contest to  finish 45th in the world  out of approximately 2000 students.   Anthony finished 45th in the world, 39th in all
