UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR ENTRANCE AWARDS 


 FUTURE UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR LANCERS:

 IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO APPLY!
Some application based Entrance Awards are still available.  
Go to: www.my.uwindsor.ca, go to Financial Matters and Search for Awards 2018-2019.
Some are open until April 20, 2018

 For example: The Corporal Andrew Paul Grenon Award for a full-time undergraduate student who is a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School.
Outstanding Scholars is an exclusive learning enrichment program offered by the University of Windsor to high achieving students.

 Application deadline is April 30, 2018.


ATTENTION GRADES 10 AND 11 STUDENTS 

The Army Reserves Cooperative Education will be available again next school year.  The time to prepare for this is now. You can earn 4 high school credits and a daily wage while you are still in high school. You are also guaranteed a job in Canada's Army Reserve after your placement ends! This opportunity introduces you to the diverse career opportunities in the Canadian Armed Forces and provides a challenging and rewarding experience. Recruiters will be at the school on April 24 during period 1 to deliver their message and give you more details. If you want to learn more about this program sign up in the guidance office to attend this presentation.

 Mr Robillard would like to take the time to thank everyone involved with our coffee house yesterday! It was a momentous undertaking this week but the show went on without a hitch! 

 He would like to thank all the teachers behind the scenes who gave their time and expertise to get everyone on stage. 

 A special thanks to all the slam poets, singers, performers and dancers who also showcased their talents and unbridled passion for the arts! Arts are the lifeblood of a community and a school. Your words, movements and sounds help us define ourselves. Thanks to all who participated!!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
