POETRY IN VOICE TEAM REGIONAL AND NATIONALS 

Your Lasers will be representing our school on the provincial and national stage for Poetry in Voice by reciting poems by heart for a panel of judges.

Congratulations to Larissa Dushime who is one of only six students in the French stream in Canada to qualify for the National Finals in Toronto. Larissa will be competing with students from across Canada for a chance to win $25,000 in prizes. Larissa is among the finalists featured on the Poetry in Voice website. Bonne chance!

Our top three finalists for English poem recitations in our school contest will be representing our school at the Poetry in Voice Team Regionals event this Friday, March 23rd in London, Ontario. Congratulations to Kobe Bekoe, Sabrina Sisco and Keagan Yap for being part of the team for their successful recitations at our school contest. Wish them luck as they compete tomorrow with students from across Southwestern Ontario for prizes.

E- LEARNING SUMMER SCHOOL COURSES 

E-learning Summer School courses are now open for registration.  Only online courses are available at this time.  Any students interested in registering  must make an appointment to see their guidance counsellor.

JR BOYS SOCCER TRYOUTS 

The first try out will be held at 4 pm on March 27 - next Tuesday.  Please be prepared to run.

BOYS BASEBALL 

A reminder for the BOYS BASEBALL team to meet at 3:00  in phys ed hallway for a team meeting and possible outdoor practice, weather permitting!  If you are unable to attend, please see Miss McGuire in rm 206 during per. 3 or 4 today.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
