Wednesday's Announcements

STUDENT COUNCIL All members of next year's Student Council need to attend a brief but  very important  meeting  today, at lunch , in Room 154. FOOTBALL To all students interested in participating in football next school year there will be a highly important, but brief meeting in room 210 at the beginning of lunch on  Thursday, June 22 . GSA MEETING St. Joe's GSA will meeting today at lunch in the chapel. Everyone is welcome.

CORE SERVICES CORE Services will be closed on during periods 3 and 4 on both  Wednesday  and  Thursday  of this week to accommodate the Gr. 12 exams which require support. Sorry for any inconvenience; and if there are any issues simply let us know. POT LUCKS THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR STAFF AND STUDENTS WHO ARE HAVING POT LUCK IN THE CLASSROOMS. WRITING CONTEST The University of Windsor is sponsoring two writing contests, The W.O. Mitchell Entrance Prize in English Composition and the Homer F. Plante Creative Writing Awards, open to Grade 12 students in Windsor and Essex County.  Students are invited to submit up to five original works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry or drama to be eligible for prizes up to $1000.  The deadline for both contests is  June 21st .  Please see the Literary Laser Board next to the elevator upstairs or Mrs. Koppeser for more information. GRADUATES: Attention all Graduating Students!!! It is very important that you fill out your disclosure form on the student portal . Please take some time to fill it out as soon possible.    The graduate disclosure form must be completed by this  Friday, June 16th .  If you need assistance, please see Mrs. Walls or Mrs. Isabella. PRAISE TEAM Attention all members of the Praise Team! The grad mass is  next Friday .  We will therefore have rehearsals  Monday  ,  Tuesday ,  Wednesday  and  Thursday next week . Please be prepared next week for rehearsals during lunch. DANCE RECITAL Congratulations to Mrs. D'Alimonte and all of the dancers that performed yesterday evening at the Dance Recital.  Their skill, creative talent and dedication were evident as they rocked the house with their moves.  Way to go St. Joe's dancers!  LASER NEWSPAPER Would all students who signed up to be a part of the Laser newspaper for next school year please meet in Room 254 at the beginning of lunch  on Friday . Anyone who did not sign up but is interested is also welcome.

ATHLETIC AWARDS BANQUET Dear Student athletes of St. Joseph, Please check your mytools2go account for your invitation to the atheltic banquet that is being held on  June 15 at 5:30pm . Banquet tickets are $6 and are being sold in the physical education office until  Friday June 9th .   DANCE RECITAL     To all period 4 classes attending the dance recital today, please take attendance and head down to the cafetorium as soon as possible.     There will also be an extended evening performance tonight in the cafetorium at 6pm .  Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the door.     Thank you for supporting the St. Joe's dance program!     PRAISE TEAM Attention all members of the Praise Team. DANCE RECITAL This is a reminder to all those involved in the Spring Dance Recital.  There will be a very important dress rehearsal today ( Tuesday ) immediately after school on the stage.  Please do not be late because we will be starting right at  3pm .  Please bring all costume pieces.  Thank you! SENIOR BOYS SOCCER Congratulations to Philip Jurkowski and Michael Zivcic as both of these young men were selected to the Tier 1 All-City team for WECSSAA Senior Boys' Soccer. Philip and Michael represented our school well all season long and deserve such honours. PRAISE TEAM Attention all members of the Praise Team Thursday's lunch rehearsal has been changed to  Friday . There is no longer a rehearsal today. On Friday , please report to the music room for rehearsal, during lunch Also,  on Monday  we will have our extended lunch rehearsal.  You will be dismissed via the PA, at approximately  11:10 .   If you are unable to attend, please see Mrs. Cabana or Mrs. Dietrich. SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES ATTENTION GRADUATES: Is the death of one or both of your parents the reason you cannot afford to attend College or University next year?  If you have serious intentions to attend College or University next year but due to financial problems may not be able to, then be sure to stop by the guidance office to pick up an application for the Byrne Bursary Foundation Bursary.   Up to $4000 dollars will be awarded to a deserving student who has suffered the loss of one or both parents. Also available from Mrs. Bon-Pickering is the Hour a Day Study Club Scholarship, the Romanian Community Scholarship, and 2 Scholarships for members of Our Lady of the Atonement Parish.
