Thursday's Announcements

FRENCH SEARS FEST Attention all cast and crew of the French Sears Fest.  There will be a brief and important meeting today at lunch in Room 201.  Please come at the very beginning of lunch for important information needed over the Christmas break. Thank-you! SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY Win up to $22,500 in scholarships for writing and speaking!  Optimist International is sponsoring an essay and oratorical contest.   The theme of this year's essay contest is "Chasing Optimism in the Face of Challenges" and the topic for the speaking contest is "What the World Gains from Optimism."  Deadlines are not until the new year, but you may want to work on your essays and/or speeches over the Christmas Break.  Please see Mrs. Koppeser for more information or an entry form.  CULTURAL EXCHANGE Interested in a three month European cultural exchange for the next school year?  Information is available in the Guidance office.  Please make an appointment with your Guidance

GIRLS HOCKEY A reminder to the girls hockey team that our game today against Massey has been cancelled.  It will be played in the New Year--an updated schedule will be provided once the date has been confirmed. STOCKING STUFFERS Attention last minute shoppers - this Wednesday and Thursday during lunch in the LCC you can purchase those last minute low price gifts to top off your Christmas list.  Proceeds will go to the environmental science class and the Matthew House.  Feel free to come by and check out the Toonie or less deals prepared for you this semester at lunch in the LCC on Wednesday and Thursday.
