Thursday's Announcements

YOUNG AUTHORS AWARD  Congratulations to Marta Haireek for receiving an honourable mention for her nonfiction selection in the provincial competition of the OECTA Young Authors contest. LITTLE FREE LIBRARY  Our Little Free Library is open for your summer reading! Come pick up some new titles to read by the pool, beach or cottage this summer. The best part is it's absolutely FREE! You are invited to leave a well-loved book for others to enjoy too. The Little Free Library is in the atrium in front of the Learning Commons. HOMEWORK CLUB Homework club will be on tonight from 3-4pm  ! FROZEN YOGURT  The students from life skills will be selling frozen yogurt today at lunch!  Come to room 111 to purchase a frozen yogurt for $2.50.  All money raised will be used to support the life skills program here at St. Joseph's. Come to room 111 today and  tomorrow , to purchase a frozen yogurt for $2.50.  All money raised will be used to support the life skills program here at St. Joseph's. NEW ORLEANS TRIP 2019 Attention to those students who are interested in attending next years Memphis, Nashville & New Orlean's trip. This is a reminder to bring your deposit to room 201 at your earliest connivence in order to secure your spot! GIRLS BASKETBALL Attention all girls interested in playing Junior or Senior Basketball next year: there will be a meeting in Mr Masse's room, 207  tomorrow  at lunch. New players welcome. CROSS COUNTRY A reminder of the meeting at lunch today for all members of this year's Cross Country team as well as any one who is interested in joining the team next year. GRAD COMMITTEE  The Graduation Committee will meet in the conference room, today, at lunch. CROSS COUNTRY   This is a message for all the students who were on the cross country team this year and anyone interested in joining the team for next year. There will be a short meeting at the beginning of lunch on  Tuesday June 19th  in room 205. That is  tomorrow  at lunch in room 205.

SISTER TO SISTER W.I.S.E Sister-to-Sister Think W.I.S.E. (Women Inspiring Success and Excellence) with the Unifor Aboriginal and Workers of Colour Caucus present the Fourteenth Annual Black Butterfly and Black Monarch Graduation This celebration honours both male and female High School Graduates of African Descent The event this year will run  Sunday, June 24 , 2018 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at the Unifor Local 200-444 on Turner Rd. Windsor This event will be catered  and  There will be gifts and draws of Gift Cards for Graduates Each graduate will receive complimentary tickets for themselves and one guest. 5TH YEAR REMINDER  Attention all students who have applied for a 5th year: If you have already had your interview, please remember to return your activity fee and contract (if applicable) to Mr. Kittl as soon as possible. Failure to do so by  next Wednesday  will get your timetable removed for next year.   WE PROJECT  Attention All Students and Staff: We will be continuing our fundraising for Mental Health today. We are selling dress down passes for $1.00. Collections will be done during the first 15 minutes of period 3. Teachers are asked to collect any money the first 15 minutes of period 3 and send down their envelopes to the Chapel with a student. Please fill in the information for each student donation on the envelopes. Envelopes will be returned to your mailboxes for the next day. The dress down passes will be sold up to and including  Friday June 15, 2018 . The dress down day will be  Monday June 18, 2018 . Dress down passes will be given to teacher's

E-LEARNING SUMMER SCHOOL  All students who have signed up for E-Learning Summer School courses must complete the mandatory online orientation prior to  June 15th  . The orientation should take roughly 45 minutes to complete. If you're no longer interested in taking the summer E-Learning course please see your guidance counsellor. AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS  If you are of Romanian descent the Romanian Community a Scholarship application is available in Guidance.  If you're a member of Our Lady of the Atonement Parish two scholarship applications are available for you.  If the loss of a parent affects your post secondary plans the Byrne Bursary Foundation application is also available. All these applications can be picked up in the Guidance office from Mrs. Bon-Pickering. ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB Attention Environmental Club members.
