CALLING ALL HOCKEY FANS
If you are looking for some fun hockey and want to gain community service hours, this event is definitely for you! Your help is needed!

On March 16- March 18, there is a Hockey Tournament at Tecumseh Arena for young people with special needs.
We are presently looking for students to volunteer to help out at this tournament.  
If you are interesting in this exciting and fun filled volunteer opportunity, please come to CORE Services, Room 151, to sign up.

Also, there is a very brief information meeting about helping out at this hockey tournament, on Monday, February 26 in room 111.

If you have any questions, please see Mr. Castagna or Mrs. Cabana in CORE Services (Room 151).

WRESTLING 

Winning a silver medal in the Swossa tournament yesterday, Raiden Landry Qualified for Ofsaa wrestling tournament which is to take place March 6th and 7th.  Kat Muscedere wrestled exceptionally and won a bronze medal.   Miranda Iuconboni and Zariah Wilson wrestled very well and finished fourth.  Good luck Raiden.

COPA DI RAYO 

The Copa di Rayo semi-finals have been determined. The knock-out round begins as follows:
Semi Match 1: Tuesday, February 27th at 11:40 AM, L.F.C. vs.Net Six and Chill
Semi Match 2: Wednesday, February 28 at 11:40 AM, 2-G-1-C vs S.O.P.'s

TALENT SHOW 

Talent show auditions are next week: Wednesday, February 28th and Thursday, March 1st after school.
Info about talent show sign-ups is on the MUSIC ROOM DOOR.

OECTA YOUNG AUTHORS CONTEST

Monday is the final day to submit entries of poetry, short stories, plays or nonfiction to the OECTA Young Authors contest.  All entries must be accompanied by a typed copy with an entry form.  Entry forms are available on the Literary Laser board upstairs next to the elevator. Please hand in all submissions to Mrs. Koppeser or your English teacher.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
