BOYS HOCKEY

 The boys hockey team play a hard fought game yesterday losing 4-2. Our goal scorers were Michael Flay and Gabriel Piccolo. Final game of the series will be played today at 2:30 Tecumseh arena.

 COPA DI RAYO 

The Copa di Rayo semi-finals have been determined. The knock-out round begins as follows:
Semi Match 1: Tuesday, February 27th at 11:40 AM, L.F.C. vs.Net Six and Chill

Semi Match 2: Wednesday, February 28 at 11:40 AM, 2-G-1-C vs S.O.P.'s

DANCE TEAM

This is a reminder to all Dance team members that there is a mandatory meeting at lunch in room 254. If all members arrive promptly the meeting will be brief.

This is a reminder of tonight's practice after school in room 256. Be there on time because we have a lot to do. Also, CHOIR IS STILL OPEN - if you want to sing, like to sing, or want to be a part of the MOST AWESOME GROUP EVER, come to 256 tonight after school and start singing!!

BEST BUDDIES

There will be a brief Best Buddies meeting today in room 153 at lunch to discuss the details of our event on Friday. Please be present and prompt and if there are any concerns see Mr. Castagna.

OPTIMIST PUBLIC SPEAKING CONTEST

It was a sweep for the Lasers at the Optimist Public Speaking Contest last night with three of our seniors finishing in the top three! Congratulations to Marlene Nkombo, Angelina Moro and Melody Turner for finishing first, second and third respectively. Marlene and Angelina have qualified to compete in the next round with a chance to win scholarships of up to $22, 500. Good luck, ladies!

SOCIAL JUSTICE

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
