STAFF LUNCHEON

 The dining lounge in room 160  will be open for lunch today. The monthly staff luncheon will be on Thursday, April 26, Parent Teacher interviews. Check the website for next weeks menus. The dining lounge will be closed on Tuesday, April 10 for grade 10 literacy.

 BOYS HOCKEY LIST

 Congratulations to those boys who will represent St. Joe’s in the Belle River tournament. The list is outside room 160. Please see Mr. Sok’s some time today to pick your schedule and permission forms for the tournament.
Also could Simon Mills see Mr. Sok’s sometime today.

 JUNIOR GIRLS SOCCER

 Any student wishing to try out for the Jr. Girls soccer team has a meeting today in room 208 at lunch!  It will be quick!
FANDOM CLUB

Attention united fandom members - there will be a meeting at lunch in room 217 today if you can attend - no need to bring a lunch.

The Grade 10 Literacy Test is this Tuesday, April 10th. Get ready by watching tutorials on how to write an opinion essay, news report and more at the Laser Literacy website on the student portal or at  laserliteracy.weebly.com. You've got this, Lasers! 

BADMINTON

Congratulations go out to the Junior badminton Team for a hard fought day at the City Championships at St. Clair College yesterday.

A special mention goes out to Eric Winch and Brenna Johnstone for placing 4th in Mixed Doubles, and advancing to WECSSAA in 2 weeks time.
Great job team, and see you next year.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Art In The Park is now accepting volunteers for their annual event June 2nd and 3rd!!!

BOYS BASEBALL

There will be a BOYS BASEBALL practice MONDAY, April 9th after school. Please come prepared for outside. Also, if you wish to play in the first game scheduled for next Wednesday, Apr. 11, you MUST make sure you have read and signed your WECSSA CODE OF CONDUCT. If you have not yet done this, please see Miss McGuire asap in Room 206 or at practice Monday.  You will not be allowed to play until this is taken care of. Thank you!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
