Monday's Announcements

CLOTHING DRIVE The Social Justice Club is collecting clothing for the St. Vincent de Paul. Please consider donating clothes that you no longer wear to this great cause. Donations can be dropped off in the Chapel before school, every day this week. SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY  The WECDSB Summer Learning Program  this year will run for approximately 3 weeks over the month of July. The "Minds-On Learning Academy", will take place at three locations through out the city and county The hourly wage for this position ranges between $14.00 - $20.00 Applications are due  Tuesday, May 8  by  3pm. A special Congratulations to Larissa Dushime for bringing three powerful recitations of French poems to the stage at the Poetry in Voice Nationals in Toronto. Larissa was one of twenty four students in all of Canada, six in French, to be selected from over 10,000 entrants to qualify for the finals. Larissa recited with maturity and poise, even receiving recognition from Louise Dupre, the poet of one of her chosen poems, for successfully interpreting her poem. If you missed her performance, the French and Bilingual qualifiers can be viewed online at the Poetry in Voice website. Congratulations Larissa for representing our school so admirably at this prestigious literary event!
