Wednesday's Announcements

WRESTLING
A reminder to all who are interested in wrestling this year: Practices begin tomorrow after school. Wear your workout clothes and wrestling shoes or clean running shoes. No experience is necessary. Remember to pick up your forms and waivers from Mr. Menard or Mrs. Carpio-Sementilli in Room 162, and return them signed asap. You will become faster. You will become stronger. You will become tougher, both physically and mentally. AAARRGH!!! You're gonna love it! See you tomorrow on the mats.


UNITED WAY
Attention All Staff: United Way forms and donations are due today. Please bring forms and donations to Miss Touma in Room 155. I will be taking all forms to the board office by Friday, November 2. After that, you will have to send in your forms to the board office on your own. 


UNIVERSITY VISITS
Graduating students, Wayne State University will be holding an open house on Thursday, November 1 at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts from 3:30-6:00 pm.  For more information please see guidance.  Also, the University of Windsor open house is Saturday, November 3 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  Please register online if you plan on attending.  


HOMEWORK CLUB
CORE Services will be closed for Homework club tonight.  We will resume homework club next Wednesday.

DRAMA CLUB
To any students who missed the Drama Club auditions on Monday - you will have another chance to audition this Thursday, Nov. 1 after school in the drama room!! Please see Mrs. D’Alimonte in room 163 if you have any questions. 


BLOOD DRIVE DRESS DOWN
This is a reminder to all who donated blood last week, your dress down day will be this Friday, November 2. Please check the list posted on the door of the Literacy Office in the Learning Commons to verify your eligibility to dress down. 


SUPER SANTA RUN NEEDS YOU!
The Essex Region Conservation Foundation is calling all local high school students to volunteer for the Super Santa 5km Run/Walk which is happening Saturday, November 17 in the beautiful downtown Amherstburg. Volunteer shifts run from noon to 5pm or 4pm-7pm.


Further information about this fun event can be found on the volunteer board outside of the guidance office or through the Volunteer Hours website which can be found on the school's portal.


BOYS BASKETBALL

UNITED FANDOMS CLUB
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Ms. Patterson, Mr. Robilliard and Mr. Morson for their support of the Arkham Asylum event last night. The club was pleased with the turnout and performances and to rest, we will be cancelling the United Fandoms Club meeting today at lunch. Happy Halloween!
