2019 NEW ORLEANS TRIP
ALL STUDENTS REGISTERED FOR THE APRIL 2019 NEW ORLEANS TRIP ...

THERE WILL BE A BRIEF BUT VERY IMPORTANT MEETING ON FRIDAY, THIS WEEK,

AT THE BEGINNING OF LUNCH, IN ROOM 203. SEE YOU THERE!!!



ROBOTICS CLUB
There will be an information meeting today at lunch in room 168 (the auto room) for any students interested in joining the St. Joe's robotics club. Feel free to bring your lunch with you. If you cannot attend and are still interested please contact Mr. Regnier.



STRATFORD TRIP
Once again, St. Joe's English Department is running a most excellent trip to STRATFORD to see Shakespeare's very funny COMEDY OF ERRORS! If you are in Gr. 11 or Gr. 12 and interested in a cultural excursion involving sight seeing, dining and shopping in the charming riverbank town and a spectacular theatrical performance, then see Miss McGuire in Room 206, Mr. Fuerth or Miss Flynn asap as there are only 10 spots left!  This trip is next FRIDAY, OCT. 19th, so hurry to ensure your space!  THANK YOU!!



BLOOD DRIVE
This year's first blood drive will take place on Wednesday October 24 in our gym. Students 17 and older are eligible to donate. Lasers under 17 can have a family member 18 years or older donate on their behalf. Signups will take place at lunch all week in the Learning Commons at lunch. 

All lasers who donate or get a family member to donate on their behalf are eligible for a dress down. Details on the dress down day are to be announced. 



LASER NEWS
Attention to all Laser News team members, the meeting today is cancelled. We will meet next week on Thursday. (repeat)



COLLEGE INFORMATION PROGRAM AT ST. CLAIR
Today will be the last day to pick up permission forms for the College Information Program being held at St. Clair College this Monday.  If you would still like to sign up, permission forms can be picked up from the guidance office at lunch or after school today.  No forms will be given out tomorrow.  All forms are due Friday morning before first period.  



WINTERBALL COMMITTEE
Winter ball meeting is today at lunch in Room 154 (repeat)



UNITED WAY
Attention All Staff: United Way pledge forms have been placed in your mailboxes. Complete the forms with your pledges by October 30th and return them to Miss Touma in Room 155. Please do not leave completed forms with cheques, cash or credit card information in Miss Touma's mailbox. Kindly hand them to her in Room 155. Should you have any questions or concerns please see Ms. Touma.



CATHOLIC STUDIES DEPARTMENT MEETING
Just a quick reminder for all religion teachers that we will be meeting today, Thursday October 11, at 3:00 pm in room 155 for our Catholic Studies Department Meeting. Please be prompt so we can start on time. Snacks will be served.



FROZEN YOGURT
There will be no frozen yogurt sales today at lunch; however, tomorrow, Friday, they will be sold in Room 111 for $2.50.  See you then.



SWIM TEAM
We would like to thank everyone who tried out for swim team. We have posted the roster of successful candidates outside of the Art room and room 254.



JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT COMPANY PROGRAM
Hey Lasers! Have you ever thought of creating your own business?
Do you have any great product ideas?
Do you want to make new friends, gain experience and knowledge of the business world,
and...make money? The Junior Achievement company program encompasses all of these
aspects and more! The 18-week program takes place every Monday from 6:30-9:00 pm
at Big Brothers Big Sisters Windsor Essex from October 29th to April 8th.
You can receive awards, scholarship opportunities, and more with this internationally
