JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT COMPANY PROGRAM
Hey Lasers! Have you ever thought of creating your own business? Do you have any great product ideas? Do you want to make new friends, gain experience and knowledge of the business world, and… make money? The Junior Achievement company program encompasses all of these aspects and more! The 18-week program takes place every Monday from 6:30-9:00 pm at Big Brothers Big Sisters Windsor Essex from October 29th to April 8th. You can receive awards, scholarship opportunities, and more with this internationally recognized program. Check out the LaserNews Instagram to sign up!


GIRLS HOCKEY
Attention Girls Hockey players...If you missed the sign up meeting on Friday, please see Mr. Kittl in the attendance office in order to register. Tryouts are just a week away!



LASERS LOTTERY
All students with first period spare who are looking to sell lottery tickets in order to get dress down passes, please see Mr. Kittl in attendance to get your book. Thank you.



ROBOTICS CLUB
There will be an information meeting this Thursday at lunch time in room #168 (auto room) for any students interested in being part of our schools robotics club. Feel free to bring your lunch along with you. If you are unable to attend Thursdays meeting but are still interested see Mr. Regnier in room #168 anytime this week.


BLOOD DRIVE

This year's first blood drive will take place on Wednesday October 24 in our gym. Students 17 and older are eligible to donate. Lasers under 17 can have a family member 18 years or older donate on their behalf. Signups will take place at lunch all week in the Learning Commons. All lasers who donate or get a family member to donate on their behalf are eligible for a dress down. Details on the dress down day are to be announced. 




TED-ED CLUB
Please return your signed permission forms to Dr. Brode. 
There will be a meeting next Tues. Oct. 16 in room 208 at lunch.


STAFF DINING LOUNGE
Just a reminder that our staff dining lounge in room 160 will be open today till Friday and will be open Tuesday to Friday until Christmas. Check the website for our daily menus.

UNITED WAY
Attention All Staff: United Way pledge forms have been placed in your mailboxes. Complete the forms with your pledges by December 1st and return them to Miss Touma in room 155. Please do not leave completed forms with cheques, cash or Credit Card information in Miss Touma's mailbox. Kindly hand them to her in room 155. Should you have any questions or concerns please see Ms. Touma in room 155. 



COLLEGE INFORMATION PROGRAM AT ST. CLAIR COLLEGE
Those students who signed up for the College Information Program on Monday at St. Clair College, please pick up your permission form in guidance today at lunch or after school.  Spots on the bus are on a first come first serve basis, so those who hand their form in quickly will be given first priority.  Permission forms are due in guidance by 8:50 on Friday morning.  Those wishing to still sign up, please see Mrs. Mariani today in guidance.



FROZEN YOGURT
Unfortunately, there will be no yogurt sales on Thursday of this week, but frozen yogurt will be sold on Friday, at lunchtime, for only $2.50 in room 111.

Once again, St. Joe's English Department is running a most excellent trip to STRATFORD to see Shakespeare's very funny COMEDY OF ERRORS! If you are in Gr. 11 or Gr. 12 and interested in a cultural excursion involving sight seeing, dining and shopping in the charming riverbank town and a spectacular theatrical performance, then see Miss McGuire in Room 206, Mr. Fuerth or Miss Flynn asap as there are only 10 spots left!  This trip is next FRIDAY, OCT. 19th, so hurry to ensure your space!  THANK YOU!!
