VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
–– Would you like an opportunity to make friends while earning volunteer hours and helping out a newcomer to Canada? 

If so, contact Ian Sandie at 519-255-1127, extension 224.

Further information as to requirements and other contact methods can be found through the volunteer hour portal on the school's homepage or on the bulletin board next to the guidance office. 

Parental consent will be required for youth under age 18

This is a very unique leadership development opportunity provided by the Multicultural Council in Windsor-Essex County.


–– The Canadian Cancer Society is in desperate need of volunteers to help raise funds for breast cancer research! 

Do you have 2 hours to volunteer sometime between October 11 to October 14????

PHOTO RETAKE DAY
Lifetouch will be at the school on Wednesday October 10th for those students who missed having their photo taken.  For students who have lost their student card there is a replacement cost of $5.00. Students requiring a retake on their photo package must return their photo package to the photographer


BLOOD DRIVE
This year's first blood drive will take place on Wednesday October 24 in our gym. Signups will take place at lunch all week in the Learning Commons at lunch. Blood typing will take place on Tuesday October 9 in the atrium. 


GIRLS HOCKEY
Attention all girls interested in trying out for the St. Joe's Girls Hockey Team.
There will be a sign up session TODAY at the beginning of lunch in room 261.
The first practice is Wednesday October 17th. See you at the meeting!


JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT COMPANY PROGRAM
Hey Lasers! Have you ever thought of creating your own business? Do you have any great product ideas? Do you want to make new friends, gain experience and knowledge of the business world, and… make money? The Junior Achievement company program encompasses all of these aspects and more! The 18-week program takes place every Monday from 6:30-9:00 pm at Big Brothers Big Sisters Windsor Essex from October 29th to April 8th.
