CROSS COUNTRY
A reminder to the members of the cross country team that the bus for Sarnia leaves at 8:45 tomorrow. Do not forget your uniform and dress appropriately for the weather.


UNITED FANDOMS CLUB
One week from today is October 30th and the United Fandoms Club will be taking over the conference room after school for a Halloween Arkham Asylum event. Designed to celebrate the crazy in all of us, you are invited to come out and share in the music, ghost stories and horror trivia after school next Tuesday in the conference room - all United Fandoms Members are reminded of the lunch meeting tomorrow to prepare for the October 30th event.


BUILD A DREAM
This message is for ALL Grade 9 to 11 girls who may have an interest in skilled trades, STEM, emergency response and entrepreneurship.  The Windsor chapter of "Build a Dream" will be holding their annual event on November 8th at the Ciociaro Club from 4-9 PM.  This is a wonderful opportunity for young women to hear about career pathways under-represented by women in our community, to access information, resources, networks, and role models. There is no charge for this event, dinner is included, parents are encouraged to attend.  Space is limited.  For more information please see Ms. Gilbert in guidance as soon as possible.


UNITED WAY

Attention all staff: United Way pledge forms have been placed in your mailboxes. Complete the forms with your pledges by October 30th and return them to Miss Touma in Room 155. Please do not leave completed forms with cheques, cash or credit card information in Miss Touma's mailbox. Kindly hand them to her in Room 155. Should you have any questions or concerns please see Ms. Touma.


ONTARIO DAY
Every October The Children Aid Societies across the province work with their communities to raise awareness about the rights of children, youth safety and well-being, and the responsibility of adults and community services to help children and youth who need support. On Ontario Day, Wednesday October 24, we join together to celebrate this community that cares for kids. We are asking that all staff and students wear purple on that day to show their support.  Students are to wear their uniform bottoms.

Please join us and wear purple on Wednesday, October 24.


SHAD
This message is for all Grade 10 and 11 students who have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math.  SHAD is an enrichment program where participants live at a host university campus outside their hometown for the month of July.  At SHAD, exceptional youth are empowered to recognize their potential as leaders and change makers.  SHAD is for youth who want to use their abilities to bring about real, positive change.  You will also receive the SHAD Fellow Designation, which is recognized and valued by universities, scholarship providers and employers. If you would like to know more about this amazing opportunity please see Ms. Gilbert in guidance.  The deadline to apply is November 19.


EUROPE TRIP

BLOOD DRIVE
A reminder to those donating blood on Wednesday. Appointment slips will be distributed by your homeroom teacher. Remember to bring photo ID, drinks LOTS of water, eat a good breakfast, and t-shirt. Students with period 1 spare who have signed up to donate blood, must report to the gym during period 1 on Wednesday to check your appointment time. 


STRATFORD TRIP
Mr. Fuerth and Miss McGuire would like to thank the Gr. 11 & 12 students who participated in the Stratford trip this past Friday.  You represented our school and city with much class and we were proud of your positive energy from start to finish. Our bus driver, Mr. Dave, said that you were the BEST group of students he has ever had the pleasure of driving.  APPLAUSE APPLAUSE.  Hope you join us again in the Spring for our next excursion!  


COATS FOR KIDS

The Social Justice Club will be collecting coats this week for our Coats for Kids campaign. If you have any gently used coats, snow pants, hats, mitts or scarves, please consider donating them to families in need in our community. All donations can be brought to the Chapel any day this week, before school.  


COPA DI RAYO

Reminder to all students interested in participating in this year's Copa di Rayo 3 v 3 indoor lunch soccer league registration is due this Thursday to Mr. Castagna in CORE Services, Room 151. If there are any questions or concerns please see Mr. Castagna in Room 151.


COR WEEKEND RETREAT

COR is a weekend retreat that will change your life! Get away from the busyness of life and discover who you are, who you are meant to be and how much God loves you. The next COR will be held November 9-11. Please see Mrs. Walls in Campus Ministry for more details and for application forms.


CONSIDERING A CALL TO THE PRIESTHOOD?

St. Peter's Seminary is hosting a Come & See Weekend for men who are 17 years old or older and considering a call to the Priesthood. The weekend will be held Oct. 26-28 and offers a first-hand experience of the life of a seminarian, spiritual help for discernment and an opportunity to meet current seminarians.
