OFSAA CROSS COUNTRY

A huge congratulations goes out to Nicole Larue, who competed at OFSAA this past weekend in Petawawa. Despite challenges in the week leading up to the race, Nicole competed against the "best of the best", and had a very impressive under 35 finish. You made the team, and all of St. Joe's proud!

UNIVERSITY INFORMATION PROGRAM

Representatives from all the universities in Ontario will be at Holy Names High School on Wednesday, Nov 8th from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.
It's a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to gain valuable information regarding university programs across Ontario.

COPA DI RAYO LASER

The road to infamous greatness continues in third week of Copa Di Rayo Laser! In the first match tomorrow, at 11:42 AM, S.O.P.s will take-on LFC. Following that match, we will see Yousif and the 10's face-off against No Name FC. Again we remind fans that there is to be no food in the gymnasium.

JUNIOR BOYS FOOTBALL

A reminder to staff that members of the Junior Boys' Football team will be dismissed at 12:35 PM today for their game against Villanova. If there are any issues please see Mr. Castagna.

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Junior girls who are interested in playing volleyball this season are asked to come to room 161 at the beginning of lunch today for a quick sign-up meeting.  See you there!

POETRY IN VOICE

Learn poems by heart and compete for $75,000 in travel and prizes. Our school-wide Poetry in Voice Recitation contest is Friday, December 8th in our school cafetorium. 

Students will qualify for the school contest in their English classes this semester.  Students may recite poems in the English, French or Bilingual Stream for a chance to qualify for the online semifinals. 

If you are not taking English this semester, but would like to compete, please see Mrs. Koppeser to sign-up and learn about the requirements.  

BOYS HOCKEY

Attention boys hockey players, there will be a practice at WFCU on Tuesday 3:40 and an exhibition game on Thursday, at 3:40. There will be a list on  MR Sok’s door, room 160 Wednesday morning for the boys who will be playing in Thursday's game.
This roster that will be posted is NOT I repeat is NOT the final roster. The final roster will be posted on a later date.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
