Tuesday's Announcements

HOT DRINKS

The newspaper team will be selling hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) in the atrium on Wednesday morning to coincide with the English department's Poets in the Schools visit. What a great way to warm up your morning!  

CROSS COUNTRY

This is a reminder to all Cross Country runners that you will need to leave period 2 at 10:45 on Wednesday. The bus will be leaving at 11am SHARP! Ensure you are dressed for the weather (chilly and rainy!)

YOGA CLUB

Attention all yoga club participants: yoga club will be cancelled this week. We will practice next Wednesday morning.

WINTER BALL

This year's Winter ball will be taken place on Friday, November 17 at the Caboto Club. Doors will open at 6pm, dinner will be served at 7:15pm and will end at approximately 11pm. Contracts will start to be handed out during the week of October 23 and Ticket sales will start November 1st and continue until November 7. If you are looking to bring a guest who attends another school you will need to pick up a guest contract as well. Tickets will be $40 each and only 280 tickets will be sold. So first come, first serve! 

SINGING

ATTENTION SINGERS!! Room 256 will be open today at lunch and after school for SINGING! If you signed up to sing, or would just like to come and sing, we're SINGING at lunch and after school today! See you then!

WRESTLING

Wrestling practise starts today, we will meet in the atrium right after period 4.

COPA DI RAYO LASER

Copa Di Rayo Laser continues this Wednesday with the first match at 11:42 AM in which Yousif and the 10's  battle new-comers S.O.P.'s; followed by LFC against No Name FC at 11:55 AM. All players must be in proper indoor soccer attire, and all spectators are reminded that no food is allowed in the gym. If there are any concerns please see Mr. Castagna.

 Best Buddies 

 There will be a brief best buddies meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 153.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
