Monday's Announcements

BOYS HOCKEY

 Attention boys hockey players, there will be a practice at WFCU at 3:40 on Tuesday and an exhibition game on Thursday, at 3:40. There will be a list on Mr. Sok’s door, room 160 Wednesday morning for the boys who will be playing in Thursdays game.


This roster that will be posted is NOT, I repeat, is NOT the final roster. The final roster will be posted on a later date.
CHRISTMAS TALENT SHOW

Any students interested in performing for the Christmas Arts Showcase are asked to sign-up on the drama room door (room 163).  

You can sing, dance, play an instrument, recite poetry, do magic, or any other talent that you may have.  

This will be the last talent show for this semester so don't miss out.

SENIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Attention senior girls volleyball players...
There will be a sign-up and organizational meeting today at lunch in room 261.  Please be prompt.

CURLING

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THE LASER CURLING TEAM!
Reminder that there will be a practice this afternoon at 3:30pm at Roseland Curling Club!
Please make arrangements for your rides.

POETRY IN VOICE

Learn poems by heart and compete for $75,000 in travel and prizes. Our school-wide Poetry in Voice Recitation contest is Friday, December 8th in our school cafetorium. 

Students will qualify for the school contest in their English classes this semester.  Students may recite poems in the English, French or Bilingual Stream for a chance to qualify for the online semifinals. 

If you are not taking English this semester, but would like to compete, please see Mrs. Koppeser to sign-up and learn about the requirements.  

WINTER BALL

A reminder that tickets will be continue to be sold today at lunch. Please make sure you have a signed contract when purchasing your ticket. Tomorrow is the LAST day for ticket sales.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
