VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
The Society of St Vincent de Paul would like to invite the students of St Joseph’s Catholic High School to do their 40 hours of volunteer community involvement with us. This is a wonderful way to help the needy in our community. We have many tasks that need to be done such as the sorting and hanging of clothes.

DANCE TEAM
There is a mandatory meeting for dance team in room 254 at lunch Tuesday. If you can not make it please see Miss Donais in advance. Dance team is looking for both new and experienced dancers to join our team. We have openings available in lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, ballet and other genres. If you've never been to a meeting before but would like to try, please join us in room 254 at lunch on Tuesday. Rehearsals will begin after school on Tuesday until 4:30 pm. Please bring your dance clothes, music and a speaker.
WRESTLING
Wrestling, wrestling wrestling! Any student interested in wrestling there is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board next to the phys-ed office.
SOCIAL JUSTICE CLUB
The Social Justice Club will meet today, at lunch, in room 257. Please bring your lunch. New members are always welcome!
COATS FOR KIDS
The Social Justice Club will be collecting coats for our Coats for Kids campaign next week. We will have a table set up in the atrium, at lunch, every day next week. If you have a chance to clean out your closets this weekend, please consider donating any used coats to our Coats for Kids campaign. All sizes are needed.
Photo proofs for students in morning coop and period 1 spare are in the main office. Please pick them up before school at lunch or after school.
Winter Ball
This year's Winter ball will be taken place on Friday, November 17th at the Caboto Club. Doors will open at 6pm, dinner will be served at 7:15pm and will end at approximately 11pm. Contracts will start to be handed out during the week of October 23 and Ticket sales will start November 1st and continue until November 7th. If you are looking to bring a guest who attends another school you will need to pick up a guest contract as well. Tickets will be $40 each and only 280 tickets will be sold. So first come, first serve!
Do you still need volunteer hours? If so there is an opportunity to remove snow over the winter months for someone who is unable to do so!

The Optimist Club of Forest Glade is having a
Halloween Costume Party
Saturday October 28th 2017
at the Forest Glade Community Centre
Volunteers are needed
1:00pm until 8:00pm
Please bring your own costume to change into for the party!

Blood Drive
Students who signed up to donate blood tomorrow, please check the list outside of the attendance office. If there are any problems with the time you were assigned or if you signed up & if you don't see your name, please see Mrs. Geiger in guidance at lunch or immediately after school today.

Anyone donating blood is reminded to eat a good breakfast tomorrow morning and be sure to drink lots of water or juice. Please do not forget to bring your i.d.!!!! You need to show your student card or driver's license when you sign in at the blood drive.

Robotics
Anyone interested in joining the St. Joe's robotics team "Laser Bots" should attend an information meeting this Thursday at lunch in room #168 ( the auto shop).
Copa Di Rayo
Registration for the grandeur that is Copa Di Rayo Laser is now open. Any students interested in matching their soccer talents with the best that St. Joseph's has to offer is encouraged to participate in the 4 V 4 intramural futsol tournament by seeing Mr. Castagna at lunch during this week In CORE Services. Remember fees are due by Friday, October 13. All are welcome!
