Wednesday's Announcements

BLOOD DRIVE
The dress down day for those students who donated blood on Friday, Feb 7 will take place tomorrow. Please see the list outside of the literacy office in the LCC to confirm your name. Passes will be distributed in your period 1 class tomorrow. If you have period 1 spare, please pick up your dress down pass in the attendance office. Check the list outside of the literacy office in the LCC to verify your name. If a parent or sibling donated on your behalf, and you don't see your name on the list, please see Ms. Flynn. 

LET'S TALK CANCER SYMPOSIUM
Students attending the Let's Talk Cancer Symposium must attend a brief meeting in Room 213 at the beginning of lunch today, to receive additional information regarding the event.  If you cannot attend the meeting, please make sure to see Mrs. Altenhof before the end of this week or you will not be permitted to attend the event.

NEW YORK TRIP
There will be a mandatory New York meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 257.  All students attending the trip must attend this meeting.

PEER TUTORING SERVICES
There will be a quick meeting at lunch today in room 151 CORE Services for any grade 11 or 12 students interested in becoming a peer tutor. Peer tutoring is a great opportunity to get volunteer hours, build your resume, and get a reference for future employment. Hope to see you then! 

GIRLS HOCKEY
Please excuse members of the girl's hockey team at 2:30 on Wednesday for their game against Lajeunesse at the WFCU Centre. Good luck girls!

BOYS BASKETBALL
Our boys basketball team has their first playoff games today after school in the laser dome. Juniors play at 4 and seniors play at 6. Good luck boys!

UPCYCLED CLIMATE CLUB
Attention members of the Upcycled Climate Club. Don't forget that there is a meeting today for all members at lunch in room 202. See you there! 

LASER NEWS
There will be a mandatory meeting for all writers tomorrow at lunch in room 258. New writers are welcome!

LITERACY CLUB
Attention all Grade 10 students! On Tuesday, February 18th the first Literacy Club meeting will take place in Room 161 from 3pm-4pm. Please make sure to return the invitation that you received in your homeroom class to the mail slot located outside of Room 161. Meetings will begin Tuesday, February 18th and continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm-4pm. Snacks will be provided! Looking forward to seeing you there!
