Thursday's Announcements

BLOOD DRIVE
This semester's blood drive is taking place tomorrow in our gym. If you have signed up to donate blood, please remember to bring a government-issued photo ID (driver's license),  to eat a good breakfast the morning of, and to ensure you are well hydrated. If you have not signed up and would like to donate, please see Maya Toma or Ms. Flynn to be given an appointment time. Appointment slips will be distributed in your period 1 class on Friday. Also to all period 1 spare students who have signed up to donate blood, your appointment slips will be in the attendance office. You may pick these up today after school or tomorrow morning.

 MATH CONTEST
Any students in grades 9,10, or 11 interested in writing this year's waterloo math contest, please see Mr. Nohra in room 218 to sign

 SCOREKEEPERS FOR BOYS HOCKEY
The Senior Boys hockey team is in need of experienced time and scorekeepers for the rest of the season.  Please see Mrs. Greig in CORE services room 151 for more information.

 GIRLS HOCKEY
Please dismiss members of the girls' hockey team at 2:15 today for their game at South Windsor Arena against Massey. Good luck ladies!

 GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Come support our girl's volleyball teams today in the laser dome as they face St. Anne's in their last home game of the season. Good Luck Girls!

 BADMINTON
Badminton Team tryouts will be held tonight from 7:30-9:30 pm in our gym.

 UPCYCLED CLIMATE CLUB
Our next meeting will be next Wednesday at lunch in room 202. See you then! 

 STJ YOUTH TROOP
There will be a brief but important meeting today, in room 202, for the members of the STJ Youth Troop. 

 LASER NEWS
There will be a laser news meeting today at lunch in room 258. New members are always welcome!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
