Tuesday's Announcements

BLOOD DRIVE
The dress down day for those students who donated blood on Friday, Feb 7 will take place this Thursday, Feb 13. Please see the list outside of the literacy office in the LCC to confirm your name. Passes will be distributed in your period 1 class on Thursday.

PEER TUTORING SERVICES
There will be a quick meeting at lunch today in room 151 CORE Services for any grade 11 or 12 students interested in becoming a peer tutor. Peer tutoring is a great opportunity to get volunteer hours, build your resume, and get a reference for future employment. Hope to see you then! 

BUILD A DREAM T-SHIRTS
Students that were part of the Gr.9 all-female tech. class last semester, please stop by the design & drafting room to see Mr. Spina sometime today to pick up your free Build A Dream t-shirt. 

BADMINTON TEAM
The last badminton tryouts will be held today at 7pm.

STUDENT COUNCIL
There will be no student council meeting at lunch today. If you have not paid for your student council shirt please bring your money to Mrs. Walls as soon as possible.

NEW YORK TRIP
There will be a mandatory New York meeting on Thursday at lunch in room 257.  All students attending the trip must attend this meeting.


LITERACY CLUB
Attention Grade 10 and 11 students! St. Joseph's Literacy Club will begin next week on Tuesday, February 18th. We will work on improving reading and writing skills which will help you in all of your courses, allow you to communicate your thoughts and ideas more clearly, and assist you with future post-secondary studies and job prospects. The Literacy Club will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 3pm- 4pm in Room 161. Snacks will be provided! Stay tuned for special invitations in your homeroom classes.
