ATTENTION ALL GRADE 12 FRENCH IMMERSION GRADUATES

There will be a brief but mandatory meeting in room 202 during lunch on Tuesday, May 8th.

ALSO 

The deadline for the Bill Eansor Award for first year University of Windsor students has been extended to Tuesday, May 8th. The award is now valued at $10,000 ($1,250 for 8 terms).
 This special award recognizes leadership abilities, community and school involvement, and academic standing.
 It is open to students entering first year full-time studies at the University of Windsor. See the scholarship board outside of the Guidance office for a link to the application.

SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY 

The Amherstburg Freedom Museum is looking for summer students. There are 3 positions available for students who are currently enrolled in full time studies and are returning to full-time studies in the fall.

The deadline to apply is May 17, 2018. Preference will be given to members of a visible minority and fluent in both official languages.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY 

Need community service hours? If so students are needed to sell Raffle for Respite tickets at Bluewater Pools on Saturdays during the months of May, June and July. Hours are flexible. There are two locations to sell tickets including Windsor and Leamington.

ALSO 

The Windsor Public Library Book Buddy Program is a 

volunteer- based literacy program designed to assist and 

encourage children with reading difficulties in order to 

motivate and provide a positive reading experience.

Volunteers are very much needed as there is currently a 

waiting list of approximately 200 children.

MODEL UN DEBATE

Ms. Touma would like to meet with the Model UN Debate Team members for about 10 minutes after school today in room 155.

Ms. Touma needs to see Charlize Alcaraz with the pictures that were taken at the debate sot a showcase together cab be put together about the debate.

We need everyone to attend this short meeting.

SOCIAL JUSTICE CLUB

The Social Justice Club is meeting today, at lunch, in Room 257.
TALENT SHOW 
The last talent show of the year is coming up soon!!  If you would like the chance to perform, sign up on the music room door TODAY.  Space is limited for the spring talent show so sign up on the music room door.  This year's Spring Talent Show will take place on May 23rd in the evening and per. 1 on May 24th. MAY THE FOURTH 
Another announcement to remind NON PROM lasers about the 1980's subversive event in the cafetorium at 4 pm, Friday May the 4th. Free entry for anyone dressed in Star Wars cosplay or 80's fashion , it will be a dollar  otherwise. Activities include 80's trivia (a la stranger things) and prizes with a movie and popcorn to follow - this is an all ages event so feel free to bring friends and family.

BEST BUDDIES 

Today's Best Buddies luncheon has been moved to the library. All those attending today's Best Buddies luncheon, please meet in the library at the beginning of lunch. Due to the luncheon, the library will be closed.
BOYS BASEBALL

Last night your Lasers Boys Baseball STUNNED both opponents and fans as they conquered L'Essor in a whopping score of 18-0 after only 3 innings!  Every player brought his A game, with position play and big bats. 

 Special mention goes to Kyle Drouillard for his sweet slide into home, Brady Hager who pitched, hit and stole his way to attention, and Connor Hay who whomped one out of the park to bring in a total of 3 runs. This was an all out team effort, and each player deserves a standing ovation for their rising above a disappointing loss by just one run on Monday. Way to go boys!!

Our next game is in Amherstburg on Monday, May 7th. Boys, please ensure you leave your period 3 class at 1:00. Hustle to dressing room to change, then report to Miss McGuire at the phys ed office door for attendance and dismissal to game. We are heading out at 1:20pm SHARP. Any latecomers will be left behind.
