COURSE CHANGE REQUEST FORMS
Course Change Request Forms will be available outside of guidance until 3pm today.  Thursday is the LAST DAY to submit your course change requests to the guidance office.  Course changes WILL NOT be accepted after Thursday.  Thank you for your cooperation.

GRADS
The Ontario Universities' Fair is taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from September 27-29.  This is a free event and is a great way for students to chat with university reps, professors, and students.  For more information visit ontariouniversitiesfair.ca or see the flyer in guidance.

NEW YORK TRIP
There will be a very important meeting for all those attending the trip to New York at lunch this Friday in room  257! 

30TH ANNIVERSARY SLAM POEM
#STJ30 Cordially invites Laser Nation to participate in our original Slam poem
to be performed at our Very special St. Joseph's 30th Anniversary Open House!
The poem will be created from various alumni submissions. We are looking for a
team of passionate poets to help arrange and perform this unique tribute to our
school’s outstanding history. The Open House takes place Friday, October 18th,
which is a P.D. day, so volunteer hours will be granted for your time! Regular
meetings and practices will begin shortly. Please listen to announcements. For
initial sign up, see Miss Flynn in the Literacy Office in L.C.C. or Miss McGuire in Rm

MUSKOKA WOODS APPLICATIONS
A reminder to leaders that the deadline for Muskoka applications is TOMORROW, by 3:00 at which time the link will be shut down. Get your application in now to be eligible for consideration for the trip!

GRADE 9 ELECTIONS
Any grade 9 student wishing to run for this year's Student Council, please pick up nomination forms in Campus Ministry today at lunch. All forms must be filled out & handed in by 3pm on Friday. Please stop by Campus Ministry to pick up your forms today.

BUSINESS SHSM
Mr. Gilbert has a 30-second announcement about the meeting today at the beginning of lunch in Rm. 253 for all Gr. 12 Business SHSM students.

TENNIS
If any serious tennis players would like to compete on the school team this year, please stop by the phys ed office at lunch to see Mrs. Lalonde today.

JUNIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL
This message is to all the boys who attended tryouts last night for the Junior boys volleyball team. There is a list on the bulletin board in the phys ed hall indicating the players who are invited back to further tryouts. Check the board for instructions from Mr. Coop.

BOYS HOCKEY
There will be 2 sign up sheets outside of room 160 for past players and for those first-time players. All first-time players will include players who were selected for the junior tournament last March and did not play for the senior team. We will hold a brief meeting next week for all players.

CROSS COUNTRY
There will be practice today after school. Meet in the Phys. Ed hallway by 3pm ready to run. New runners are welcome, especially grade nines & twelves!

MODEL UN DEBATE TEAM
Attention All Students: There is a meeting today at lunch in room 155 for anyone interested in joining the Model UN Debate Team. If you are interested in world politics and world issues this is the team for you to join. We are planning on participating in 4 debates this year: The G7 Summit Debates with Assumption High School in October, The CASAC Debates in Michigan in December, The MAMUN Debates in Michigan in March and the University of Windsor Debates in April/May. Please bring your lunch and come out and join us today in room 155.

CHOIR
If you are a singer and would like to join the choir, please come to room 210 TODAY at lunch to sign up and for information. 

CONCERT BAND
If you are an instrumentalist, please sign up for band on the music room door anytime this week. We will have a meeting in the music room on Thursday, Sep. 12, for information and planning. If you need an instrument, please see Mrs. Bisnaire in the Music room, and she will set you up with one.

LASER NEWS
There will be a Laser News meeting this Friday at lunch in room 258. New members welcome!

Hey, Lasers! Our Gay-Straight Alliance club is having their first meeting tomorrow, Wednesday at lunch in the chapel. If you’re looking for a safe place to talk or learn more about the LGBT+ community feel free to stop by. Anyone can join!
