ONTARIO UNIVERSITIES FAIR
Grads, this is the final reminder regarding the Ontario Universities' Fair taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from September 27-29.  This is a free event and is a great way for students to chat with university reps, professors, and students.  For more information visit ontariouniversitiesfair.ca or see the flyer in guidance.     

ST. CLAIR COLLEGE
St. Clair College will be here Monday, September 30.  The presentation will take place in the cafeteria and will begin at 9:00am.  All grade 12 classes are invited to attend.  Students on spare should make themselves available for this presentation.  If you are in a class period 1 that IS NOT a gr. 12 class, please see guidance before the end of the day Friday and we will sign you out of your class for Monday's presentation. 

UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR
On Tuesday, October 1 the University of Windsor will be presenting at 10:30am in the cafeteria.  This presentation is for all students in period 2, gr. 12 U or M courses.  Again, gr. 12 university bound students on spare should make themselves available for this presentation.  For the University of Windsor presentation, if you are in a period 2 class that is NOT a grade 12 class, or is NOT a U/M course, but you are university-bound please see guidance by the end of the day Monday and we will sign you out of period 2 so you may attend the presentation.

PHOTO RETAKES

Lifetouch Photography will be here Thursday, October 3rd to take pictures of students who missed having their photo taken. These pictures are for your I.D. cards, yearbook and picture packages. If you are having a photo package retake, you must return your entire original package to the photographer. Replacement for lost I.D. cards will be taken for a cost of $5.00.


DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS
Attention all dual credit students.  The bus for St. Clair College will pick you up at 12:00 today at the front of the school.  Please be there early and wait for the bus to arrive.

CADETS
Attention Cadets, If you are currently a cadet, you are asked to come to room 255 Friday at the beginning of lunch for a brief meeting.  See Mr. Sylvestre if you cannot attend.

LORAN SCHOLARSHIP
Attention all 2020 graduates of St Joe`s. Every High School in Canada is allowed to nominate up to 3 students for this scholarship that is valued at $100, 000 over four years. This award is meant to support young Canadians who show strength of character and a commitment to service in their communities.  If you have an average of 85% or higher and you enjoy challenging yourself to fully realize your leadership potential, then this scholarship is for you! If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, please come into guidance this week and sign up for an appointment and a potential nomination. The sign-up sheet will be available until Friday, September 27th and can be found on the counter near the yellow guidance appointment slips.

REST STOP AMBASSADORS
Students, are you looking to gain more of your required volunteer hours? Rest stop ambassador positions are available for the upcoming Essex Region Conservation Bike Tour coming up on Saturday, September 28th.  Different shifts are available.  Visit the race roster website for more information and to sign up or visit the volunteer page on the Laser Portal. 


MATH TUTORING
Looking for community service hours?  A family in our area is looking for a math tutor for a grade 7 student.  If interested, please see Ms. Gilbert in guidance as soon as possible. 

FOOTBALL
Please dismiss members of the Football team at 1:15 today for their season-opening game against Brennan. Players report to the changeroom immediately after dismissal. Thank you. Also for all students interested in attending, The game begins at 3:00 pm. Hope to see you there!
