JUNIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Attention to the Junior boys volleyball team...... there is a team lunch TODAY in Mr. Soks' room. Bring your own drink! Pasta and salad are on the menu!


JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
The Junior Girls Volleyball team list is now up! Thank you to everyone who tried out and congratulations to the girls who made the team. Practice this week will be Wednesday at 4:30PM. 


GOODFELLOWS NEWSPAPER DRIVE
Mature students are needed to help hand out newspapers for the annual Goodfellow Newspaper drive. A variety of hours are available from 9am to 4pm this coming November 22nd to the 24th. Newspapers will be handed out near Tecumseh Mall and hours can be booked in 2-hour segments.

WE PROJECT/ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
Attention All Students: There is a meeting for the WE Project/ St. Vincent De Paul Society today at lunch in room 155. Please come out and join us in planning our next activity. New members are always welcome. 


SNOW ANGELS CITY OF WINDSOR
The Snow Angels program in the City of Windsor is an excellent opportunity to get some exercise and help out in your neighbourhood. For high school students, it's a great way to round out your 40-hour Community Involvement requirement. Anyone 16 years of age or older may volunteer for the program.

UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA
Attention all Grade 12 French Students (core and immersion)

University of Ottawa will be visiting during Period 4 on Wednesday, November 21st, which is TOMORROW.
If you are interested in seeing this presentation please see Madame Tomaselli today to be able to attend.


STAFF DINING LOUNGE
The dining lounge in room 160 will be closed TODAY in order to prepare food for the grade 8 dragster races at noon. We will resume on Wednesday.


SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Black History Month has become an important time to recognize the contributions Black Canadians have made to our country. If you are a student applying to college or university, tell the RBC your story of how one or more black Canadians have helped define Canada's diverse heritage and identity through their specific achievements and contributions.

The essay must be 750 words or less.

A variety of scholarships will be given away including one $5 000 scholarship, one $2 500 scholarship and one $1 500 scholarship.

LASER CURLING
The Laser curling teams were back in action yesterday afternoon.

Team 1 lost to a powerful Massey team.  The Lasers played hard but were not able to capitalise on the few mistakes made by Massey. Final score was 8-0. 

Team 2 fought tough in a back and forth game with Holy Names.  The Lasers team locked up the 4-3 win in the final nail-biting end without having to throw their final rock.

Action will resume on Wednesday when the curling teams face Ste. Anne's.


COPA DI RAYO
El torneo de reyes begins for the fourth straight year as the Copa di Rayo kicks-off this Wednesday, November 21 at lunch. The scheduled matches are as follows:

Match 1 at 11:42 AM has Returning Champs FC playing Longballs FC and Match 2 at 11:55 AM has Sweetermanz FC taking-on Captain Dom.



****Laser Lanyards are now available for purchase.  They may be purchased for $6.00 each or 2 for $10.00.  They are being sold in the Laser Box during lunchtime on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. *****



REEL CANADA FILM FESTIVAL
The St. Joseph's REEL Canada Film Day will take place next Tuesday, November 27. All students will participate in this day by watching one film in the morning and one film in the afternoon. Also, there will be short videos and activities during each session.



Grades 9 & 10 students will watch One Week and Sharkwater in the gym that day.

Grades 11&12 will watch Bon-Cop, Bad Cop and Indian Horse in the cafetorium that day.
