Thursday's Announcements

CREPE SALE
Salute everyone! French immersion is having the best crepe sale day ever on December 6th during period 3 and 4. All profits raised will be donated to mental health initiatives within our school and the community. Stay tuned to know when to buy tickets.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT
Ms. Bisnaire is looking for singers, dancers or instrumentalists to perform at this year's Christmas concert on Dec. 11th and 12th.  People who are interested in performing for the Christmas concert should see Ms. Bisnaire sometime TODAY.

SCHOLARSHIPS
December scholarships are just around the corner. Make sure to pay attention to detail as many scholarships are due before the Christmas Break. Traditionally, December scholarships get the fewest applicants due to increased time demands from work and  family.

Remember that one of the most important parts of a scholarship application are your references. Make sure you select someone who knows you well and can speak to your strengths and character. Also, make sure to give your references plenty of time to craft an amazing letter of reference. Providing information about yourself and the scholarship will help the person writing your letter of reference  to make the best possible impression.

As always, check out the Guidance web page found on the St Joseph's Portal for further information on scholarships or come by guidance for more information.

PRAYER
Need a mental break at lunchtime? After you feed and renew your body, come to the chapel at noon tomorrow to renew your soul!

CHRISTMAS DONATIONS
Attention all students and staff: In the spirit of Christmas giving we will continue collecting any personal care items for Hiatus House this week. Hiatus House is a place that families can take refuge when in crisis. They are in need of the following items to help out the families who are staying there: bar soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, mouth wash, deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner. These items must be new and in sealed packages. Please send these items to room 155 during the first 15 minutes of period 1 each day. We will collect items up to and including Friday, November 30th.

LASER CURLING
The Laser curling teams were in action yesterday at the Roseland Curling Club.

Team 1 faced the league's leading team from Assumption.  The Lasers played well and made many great shots but in the end, the Assumption team was too strong.

Team 2 dominated Villanova–scoring two points in the first end, and stealing points in the remaining ends to finish with a final score of 8-0.

The teams are scheduled to be back on the ice on Monday.

Go Lasers!

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Attention Lasers. Mr Masse and Mr Fuerth just wanted to take the opportunity to wish Alessia Bozzi and Katie McAnally luck in the Girls AllStar basketball game tonight in Kingsville. These 2 girls were selected to represent their school as unanimous all city players for their awesome work this season. Good luck ladies!
