Thursday's Announcements
REEL CANADA FILM FEST
The St. Joseph's REEL Canada Film Day will take place next Tues. November 27. All students will participate in this day by watching one film in the morning and one film in the afternoon. Also, there will be short videos and activities during each session.
Grades 9 & 10 students will watch One Week and Sharkwater in the gym that day.
Grades 11 & 12 will watch Bon-Cop, Bad Cop and Indian Horse in the cafetorium that day.

SOCIAL JUSTICE CLUB
There will be a Social Justice meeting in Room 257 at lunch on Friday.
LASER CURLING
Yesterday was another great day for Laser curling.
Team 1 dominated St Anne’s as the Lasers stole points in the first 5 ends. St Joe’s had amassed an 8 point lead before St Anne's was able to hit the scoreboard. Final score was 8-2.
Team 2, with a bye, will be ready for action on Monday when they face Assumption.

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
There is a very important 5-minute meeting in portable 2 right away today at the lunch bell. Come straight there quickly! Also practices this week will be: Thursday 4:30PM and Friday morning at 7:20AM.
LITURGICAL DANCERS
There will be a meet lunchtime time in room 154 for anyone wanting to join the liturgical dance team.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND VOLUNTEER HOURS
Right now there are many scholarships available. Check out the guidance web page on the St Joseph's portal or go and see Miss Cuderman in guidance for further information.
Many scholarships today are based upon your volunteer work in the community. Volunteering helps to fulfill your community service hours that can go toward your high school diploma but it also demonstrates you care about your community. It can also show that you are well rounded, motivated and have future goals!!!
If you are unsure as to which volunteer opportunities are available, check out the guidance volunteer board across from the attendance office, listen to announcements or check out the volunteer web page found on the St Joseph's portal.
Laser Lanyards are now available for purchase. They may be purchased for $6.00 each or 2 for $10.00. They are being sold in the Laser Box during lunch time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
