Tuesday's Announcements

CURLING TEAM
The two Laser Curling teams were in action yesterday against Assumption. 

Team 1 was down 3 points early, but the Lasers came back strong and stole one point in the final end to finish with a 3-3 Tie.


Team 2 was also down early but ran out of ends in their comeback bid.  Final score was 7-2 for Assumption.


Both teams will be back in action Wednesday at Roseland when they face Villanova.

WE PROJECT/ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY

Attention All Students: There will be a meeting for the WE Project/ St. Vincent De Paul Society today at lunch in room 155. Please come and join us to plan our next event.


EUROPE TRIP

There is a very important meeting today at lunch in Room 201.

Please come early and bring your lunch.


AFRICAN DIASPORA CLUB

If there are any students who are interested in joining a cultural club for black and/or African students, there will be a brief information meeting on Thursday, November 15th in the learning commons during lunch. If you have any more questions, please contact Mr. Wilson, Mariam Worku or Tina Ighorewo. Everyone is welcome!


TED-ED CLUB

There will be a TED-ED CLUB meeting today in Room 208. Once again, TED-ED meeting today. Bring materials and ideas.


SCHOLARSHIPS

The Burger King Scholarship is now available
Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000 and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average (GPA), work experience, extracurricular activities and community service.

You do not need to be an employee to have access to the general track recipient pool.


The application period for the 2019-2020 school year closes Dec. 15, 2018.



The Arthur Paulin Automotive Scholarship Award is now available  however applications are due November 30th

To be eligible to win an Arthur Paulin Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an automotive industry related program or curriculum at a Canadian college or university. This includes students pursuing their studies as an automotive apprentice. It also includes studies in any of the following automotive sectors: auto body, hard parts, heavy duty, or motive power (machinists).

Attention Health and Wellness SHSM students:
There is a certification opportunity available to all Health and Wellness SHSM students.

Students are to get their own ride to the Board office. (AT Assumption high school)
Please come and get a permission form at the phys ed office this week.


FRENCH IMMERSION

Attention French Immersion students that have a school board issued Bus Pass:

The temporary student card that you were given with your bus pass has expired and it will be confiscated by the Transit Windsor bus driver.  You must use your student card as your picture portion.  If you do not yet have your student card, please come to the Main Office.

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

The second tryout will be held Wednesday after school in the large gym at 4:30PM to 6:00PM. Cuts will be made after Wednesday's tryout. 


CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED
St. Vincent de Paul is in desperate need of gently used clothing. If you have any items you would like to donate, please drop them off to Campus Ministry or to Mr. Polewski in Room 153.
