UNITED FANDOMS CLUB
Attention Lasers - the first official meeting of the United Fandoms Club is taking place TODAY at lunch in Room 217.

New members are welcome as we continue our third year of exploring and obsessing over anime, comic books, manga and movies.
Come by Room 217 on your lunch TODAY to find out about this year’s events.

DRAMA CLUB
DRAMA CLUB! To any students interested in being a part of this years Drama Club and the National Theatre School Drama Festival (formerly known as Sears Fest), please sign up on the sign-up sheet outside of the Drama room 163.  Thank you!

CROSS COUNTRY
Attention all cross country team members. The deadline for shirt orders and for training camp sign-up is this Thursday. Please see Coach Flynn to get signed up for both.
The shirts are $20.

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE
St. Joseph's Gay Straight Alliance meets every Wednesday at lunch in the chapel.  
Our first meeting of the year will take place TODAY.  Every ONE is welcome to attend.

MEMPHIS – NEW ORLEANS – NASHVILLE
Attention students who are signed up for the Memphis - New Orleans - Nashville 2019 Trip!

There will be a brief but important meeting at the beginning of lunch this Thursday, in room 203.

Also, there are a few spots left for Music and French students ... don't miss this opportunity to experience a jam-packed itinerary of Music and French culture!!! Come to the meeting to sign up - don't miss out.

BOYS HOCKEY
This announcement is for ALL male hockey players who wish to try out for this season, including grade 9 and 10's. We are looking for players to represent an on going tradition of the 3 R's in our 25th season of St. Joe's excellence.
This year is the 25 anniversary of the Father Zakoor Catholic Cup and Coach Dufour will be celebrating his 25 year as Head coach at St.Joe's and also Mr. MacEchran at Brennan. The sign up sheets will be in room 160 at lunch all week for interested players. If you are playing a fall sport now please sign up so we know that you are interested in playing.


BEST BUDDIES
A reminder to this year's Best Buddies that our first event will occur immediately at the start of lunch in room 110 on tomorrow, Thursday, September 20. If there are any concerns please see Mr. Castagna or Ms. Marra.

I posted on our community this morning that I'm offering Wednesday at the beginning of Lunch in room 212 as another time for practising for the Thanksgiving mass. Please consider coming out to beef up the choir for this joyous occasion! See you there!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
