SOCIAL JUSTICE CLUB
The Social Justice Club will meet today, at lunch, in Room 257. Everyone is welcome! Please bring your lunch. Join this club and help make a difference in our school and in our community.
FROZEN YOGURT
Nucelli's Frozen Yogurt is back!  Nucelli's Frozen Yogurt will be sold on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the beginning of lunch for $2.50 starting next week in Room 111.  Come and enjoy all the great flavours which will be posted outside of Room 111.  Please support the Life Skills Program by purchasing a yogurt on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Thank you kindly!

TERRY FOX WALK
The Tecumseh Terry Fox Walk/Run is looking for student volunteers this Sunday, September 16 at Green Acres Park in Tecumseh. If interested, please report to the volunteer table at 8:00 a.m. Bring your volunteer sheet to be signed. More information is posted outside the Phys. Ed. Office  


MUSKOKA
Attention students interested in attending the Muskoka Trip this fall.  Muskoka Dates are October 8-October 12. Please go to bit.ly/muskokafall2018 to fill out your application. Applications are due on Monday September 17.

FOOTBALL
Anyone in grades 9 or 10 wishing to join the Laser Junior Football team should report to the locker room after school today.  You DO NOT need any experience. That is what coaches are for.  All you need is the courage and dedication to join a program of awesome endurance.  You will gain friendships brought fourth from a shared daily struggle of weather and aggressive contact.  You will have these memories for life.  The coaches look forward to seeing you after school.


 WRITING CONTESTS
Are you a writer? Do you enjoy writing and hope to publish your work?

There are three writing contests posted on the Literary Lasers board. The contests include short stories, essays and poetry. The Literary Lasers board is on the second floor next to the elevator.  Good luck.



SWIM TEAM
There will be a swim team meeting next Wednesday at lunch in room 254. Swimmers, please plan to attend and bring your lunch.

TENNIS TEAM
Attention all tennis fans and players, we will begin tryouts and practices for the tennis team starting Monday September 17th. Please come in proper attire and ready to play at the tennis courts near the library at Forest Glade this Monday at 3:15pm. You will need to sign up.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
