MUSKOKA TRIP
Attention students interested in attending the Muskoka Trip this fall.  Muskoka Dates are October 8-October 12. Please go to bit.ly/muskokafall2018 to fill out your application. Applications are due on Monday September 17.


FROZEN YOGURT
Nucelli's Frozen Yogurt will be sold on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $2.50 in Room 111.  Please support the Life Skills Program by purchasing a yogurt on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Thank you!


WRITING CONTEST
Do you enjoy writing and hope to publish your work someday? Now is the time to enter writing contests.

Different writing contests are posted on the Literary Lasers board. They include short stories, essays and poetry. The Literary Lasers board is on the second floor next to the elevator.  Good luck with your entries.



SWIM TEAM
There will be a swim team meeting this Wednesday at lunch in room 254. Swimmers, please plan to attend and bring your lunch.



UNITED FANDOMS CLUB
Attention Lasers - the first official meeting of the United Fandoms Club will take place this Wednesday at lunch in Room 217.

New members are welcome as we continue our third year of exploring and obsessing over anime, comic books, manga and movies.
Come by Room 217 on your lunch this Wednesday to find out about this year’s events.



ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB
Attention All Students: The first meeting for the Environmental Club will happen TODAY at lunch in Room 155. We will be looking at how the club will be organized to best take care of cleaning up our school grounds and the neighbourhood. Please bring your lunch and join us. 


CONCERT BAND
Concert Band starts TOMORROW at 7:20am.  If you already play an instrument and you haven't signed up yet for concert band, come to the music room (room 164) sometime today to talk to Ms. Bisnaire.  It is not too late to sign up for concert band, which starts tomorrow at 7:20am.  Those signed up, please bring your instrument to the rehearsal tomorrow morning.
GRADE 9 REP
A reminder to anyone wishing to run as a Gr. 9 Rep for this year's student council that all forms are due today. Please hand in your nomination forms by 3pm today to Mrs. Spadotto in Room 154 or Mrs. Walls in Campus Ministry.
DANCE TEAM
DANCE TEAM!!! Students auditioning for the Lasers Dance Team - this is a reminder that auditions will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, September 18th immediately after school at 3pm on the stage.  Please do not be late! Thanks!
DRAMA CLUB
DRAMA CLUB! To any students interested in being a part of this years Drama Club and the National Theatre School Drama Festival (formerly known as Sears Fest), please sign up on the sign-up sheet outside of the Drama room 163.  Thank you!
CROSS COUNTRY
Attention all cross country team members. The deadline for shirt orders and for training camp sign-up is this Thursday. Please see Coach Flynn to get signed up for both.
The shirts are $20.
30th ANNIVERSARY
This is a reminder that there will be meeting for the 30th Anniversary planning committee today at lunch in the conference room. All staff are welcome. 
ART CLUB
St Joseph's Art Club will be meeting Monday's at lunch in room 166.
Any students interested in joining St. Joe's Art Club should meet in room 166 today at lunch. 
GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE
St. Joseph's Gay Straight Alliance meets every Wednesday at lunch in the chapel.  
Our first meeting of the year will take place this Wednesday.  Every ONE is welcome to attend.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
