Tuesday's Announcements

YOGA

 Bonjour all students interested in participating in the yoga club this year. 
We will meet on Wednesday at lunch in Room 201very briefly.
Please feel free to join us for the first yoga class on Wednesday morning at 7:15amin Room 201.
 All students and staff are welcome.

DANCE TEAM

This is a reminder that anyone interested in being on the st. Joes Dance Team is asked to meet on the stage today at lunch.

NEWSPAPER

All Laser newspaper team members are asked to meet on Thursday in Room 210 at lunch. Now that roles have been assigned, we will be discussing format and content of articles. This will take the full lunch period, so please bring your lunch!

CROSS COUNTRY

Cross country practices continue tomorrow after school. New runners are welcome. Please meet in the phys. Ed hallway at 3. 

Be sure to bring your running gear and water. If you are presently trying out for another team you can come out after your tryouts are completed.

SHSM HEALTH & WELLNESS

Attention to those students in the SHSM Health and Wellness program this year.  Please check the board outside the phys ed office for information for you to be added to the REMIND app. You must follow the instructions to get registered. 

Also, the new students in the program who do not have sweatshirts, include your size needed when you send a message. If you have any questions, please ask Miss Fogolin.

ROAD HOCKEY TOURNAMENT

Hey Lasers!!

Plan to participate in the Canada Birthday Bash road hockey tournament on Friday Sept 29th.

Games will take place on the tennis courts and in our inflatable arena!! Join together in teams of 5 or 6 and come by the PE office to register. A $5 fee per player will allow you to dangle, snipe and celly all afternoon!!

TALENT SHOW

ATTENTION ALL SINGERS, DANCERS, MUSICIANS AND POETS!!!  Are you interested in performing in our first Talent Show of the Year?  

Come and get an informational form and sign up your act on the Drama Room door. Don't be shy!  Grade 9's are always welcome!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Any Students who need volunteer hours and would like to volunteer at the Tecumseh Terry Fox Run this Sunday, September 17 should arrive at Green Acres Park in Tecumseh at 8:15 a.m.  

Please check in at the volunteer table and bring your volunteer data sheet to be signed.  See Mrs. Mailloux if you have any questions.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

The Science Olympiad meeting for grade 11 and 12 science students will be on Thursday,  Sept. 14 in  room 221 at lunch.  

JUNIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL

All grade 9 or 10 boys wishing to try out for the Jr Boys Volleyball Team need to attend practice:

Monday Sept. 11: Early          (3 to 4:15 pm) in Gym 3
Tuesday Sept. 12: LATE          (4:15 to 6 pm) in Gym 3

Wednesday Sept. 13: Early               (3 to 4:15 pm) in Gym 3
Thursday Sept. 14: LATE         (4:15 to 6pm) in Gym 3

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
