JUNIOR BOYS FOOTBALL

 Any Grade 9 and 10 students interested in trying-out for Junior Football practices will continue to take place after school on the football field from 3:20 PM to 4:45 PM
 each day until Friday, September 15. 

 If you have any concerns or questions please see Mr. Fuerth in the gym area, or Mr. Castagna in CORE Services.

 CROSS COUNTRY
A reminder that cross country practices start today after school. 

A special call goes out to grade 9 students who participated in track and/or cross country last year.


Please remember to bring your running gear and water.

 FRENCH IMMERSION 


French immersion bus passes are available in the Main Office.  French immersion students may pick up their bus passes before school, at lunch or after school ONLY

SCHOOL NEWSPAPER

Could all students who expressed interest in being a part of the new Laser newspaper please meet in Room 210 at the beginning of lunch on Friday. 

All are welcome, including grade 9's and any other students who are new to St. Joe's!
VOLUNTEER HOURS

Attention Students looking for some community service hours! 

St. Anne's Parish is looking for volunteers as youth leaders for this year's Youth Ministry Programs. 



If you love children & want to help, their 1st Team Training Meeting is being held this Monday, September 11th from 7-9pm at St. Anne's Parish hall.


SENIOR BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Senior boys volleyball team will start practices tonight at 300 sharp in the gym.

CONCERT BAND
Do you play a musical instrument?

All students, from gr. 9 to 12, are welcome to sign up for this year's CONCERT BAND. 

We are looking for flute, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet, trombone, baritone and tuba plays as well as percussionists.

Come to the music room on Friday at lunch to sign up in room 164 and bring a friend.

Concert band sign-ups are this Friday at lunch in room 164. 

Everyone is welcome to sign up for CONCERT BAND as long as you already play an instrument.

DANCE TEAM

Good Morning Lasers
We are putting out a call to all Lasers interested in trying out for the St. Joes 2017 / 2018 Dance Team. 

There will be a meeting on the stage on Tuesday at lunch for all students who are interested.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
