TALENT SHOW

Good Morning Lasers! My name is Katelin Flay and I am here to promote Canada’s 150th
Birthday here at St. Joseph's. Starting Monday, September 25th we will be kicking off our spirit week with some P.A activities and our very first Canadian themed talent show. Are you into poetry? Or fangirl over Justin Bieber? If yes, come out and support all of our talented singers, dancers or poets this year. This class buyout will be taking place during Period 4 and for just $2 you could be rocking out to some “Stitches” by Shawn Mendes. You will not want to miss it! We are blessed to have a school full of performers who never fail to impress us! Thanks Lasers; see you there!

TERRY FOX WALK

Friday, September 29th is the grand finale of our Canada 150 Birthday
celebration week as we hold the annual TERRY FOX WALK. In the
traditional St. Joe's spirit, the ENTIRE school will join in the fight against
CANCER. The walk will be in a parade style this year, with banners and
posters and Canadian colours, and the community will see the beautiful
Laser spirit as together we are a force realizing Terry's dream. Your
generous donation of $5.00 or more, if you are able, will not only go to the
Terry Fox Foundation and his Marathon of Hope, but it will give you the
following PASS that will include: permission to dress down in RED AND
WHITE spirit wear, participation in the walk itself, to take place in the
morning, a hot dog and piece of Canadian birthday cake at lunch after the
walk, and all access to the fun afternoon line-up of the parking lot ball
hockey tournament and/or other fun activities to be announced!
