Tuesday's Announcements

PRAISE TEAM

All those wishing to be a part of the music for the end of year mass, please come to the chapel today during lunch, for a rehearsal.  
Anyone wishing to perform a solo or who has any ideas for the program of music for the mass, is asked to let Mrs. Dietrich know today.  Please come to the chapel at lunch to speak to her.

The mass is just 2 short weeks away!  Attendance at rehearsals is important to make sure you are prepared to be a part of the mass.

If you have any questions or concerns or are unable to attend the rehearsal, please see Mrs. Cabana.

WE PROJECT

Attention All Students: There is a meeting for the WE PROJECT and the Coffee House Open Mic event today at lunch in room 155. Since both groups are working on this we will meet together today to finalize plans for the Fund Raising Events on June 2, 2017. Please bring your lunch and join us. 

STUDENT COUNCIL

SAC would like to thank everyone who donated items for the charity garage sale this weekend as well as all the classes that attended the staff v. student soccer game.  Together with your help we raised a sizeable donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Thank you again for your dedication and support.  Too bad the student athletes were whooped by the staff.  Better luck next time!  

Also- a reminder to any students running for Executive Council, your nomination packages are due today to secure your candidacy.  Please submit all completed forms to Mrs. Spadotto or Mrs. Walls before 3pm today. 

STUDENT WRITERS

Any Grade 9, 10 or 11 student interested in becoming a writer for the NEW St. Joe's newspaper next year, please stop by Room 254 and sign up using the sheet posted on the door. We are looking to put together a core team of writers at this point, and we will be looking for submissions at various points through next school year. Stay tuned!

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
