MOCK TRIAL

There will be a very brief but important meeting for all members of the Mock Trial team at the start of lunch today in room 257. 

All members must be in attendance.

LASER HOOP

Attention all junior and senior boys basketball players:

Your uniforms are due to Ms. Byrne by Friday.  If they  are not handed in, your names will be submitted to the office.

INDOOR SOCCER

Yesterday's electric matches saw GLO Gang and Longballs FC victorious. 

Today we'll see GLO Gang versus the Underdogs FC in the first match; followed by Jorge FC battling Lasers' FC.

BOYS SOCCER

Any student who signed-up for Senior Boys' Soccer, there will be a brief meeting at the start of lunch on Friday, February 24 in room 153. 

If you have any concerns, please see Mr. Castagna.

CATHOLIC STUDIES TEACHERS

The meeting for the Catholic Studies Department has been cancelled for today so everyone can make it to the OECTA meeting after school.  

We will meet next Tuesday February 28, 2017 after school in room 155 at 3:00pm. See you there!

PUBLIC SPEAKING CONTEST WINNERS

Our Lasers brought home the gold, silver and bronze medals in the Optimist Oratorical Contest last week.  

Congratulations to Staecey Ngabire for winning the gold medal, Katrina Bahnam for her second place finish and Sandra Hoang for placing third.  

Staecey and Katrina have both qualified for the next round of competition.   

Our Lasers all spoke on the theme of “What the World Gains from Optimism”. 
 
Congratulations Lasers on giving us lots to be optimistic about and good luck in the finals!

TALENT SHOW

Talent Show / Talent Show
We want anyone who has a talent to audition for this year's talent show.

The talent show will take place right before March break.

Audition sign-ups for the talent show will be this week.  Check the bulletin board across from room 164, the music room, to sign up.

Auditions for the talent show will be on Wednesday, March 1st and Thursday, March 2nd right after school.

Don't be shy and don't deny yourself the opportunity to shine with any talent you have such as slam poetry, juggling, yo-yo tricks, dancing, singing, solo instrumentals, band performance and so on.  

Auditions for the talent show are next week so sign up today!!!!

MUSKOKA WOODS

Attention all students interested in attending the 2017 Spring Muskoka Experience

PRAISE TEAM

There is a rehearsal for all members of the Praise Team on Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Could all members of the Praise Team please report to the chapel at lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.  

If you are unable to attend the practice, please see Mrs. Cabana in room 151.

FRENCH SEARS FEST

All students participating in the French Sears Fest (actors/technicians, make-up artists, set crew) must attend a very important meeting in Room 201 Today,  Wednesday February 22nd, at lunch.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
