Talent Show / Talent Show

We want anyone who has a talent to audition for this year's talent show.
The talent show will take place right before March break.
Audition sign-ups for the talent show will be this week.  Check the bulletin board across from room 164, the music room, to sign up.
Auditions for the talent show will be on Wednesday, March 1st and Thursday, March 2nd right after school.
Don't be shy and don't deny yourself the opportunity to shine with any talent you have such as slam poetry, juggling, yo-yo tricks, dancing, singing, solo instrumentals, band performance and so on.  
Auditions for the talent show are next week so sign up today!!!!

SENIOR BOYS SOCCER

Anyone interested in playing Senior Boys' Soccer this season there will be a sign-up session today during lunch in the gymnasium. 

If you have any concerns, please see Mr. Castagna.

REACH TOP

Attention Reach for the Top Team:  There will be a practice after school in Room 255.  

As well, Thursday's game against Massey has been postponed.  

See you today after school!

DEBATE TEAM

Attention Debate Team members:  Wednesday's practice has been moved to Thursday.  Again, Wednesday's practice has been moved to Thursday.  

Sydney Parent and Sebastian Seke are asked to see Mr. Sylvestre sometime today.  

BADMINTON

Badminton practice will be held at 4:45 - 6:30pm tonight.

WE PROJECT / ST VINCENT DE PAUL

Attention All Students: There is a meeting for the WE Project and the St. Vincent DePaul Youth Society today at lunch in room 155. 

Please bring your lunch and join us. Please direct any questions or concernsyou may have to Miss Touma in room 155.

GRADUATING STUDENTS

Graduating students are encouraged to attend:  Financing Your University Education for Prospective Students- Information Session at the University of Windsor on Tuesday,  February 21  @ 6:30 p.m.

Sign up at the UWindsor site.  

BLOOD DRIVE

If you are 17 years old or older, please consider donating blood at our upcoming blood drive. Sign up at lunch, today, at the table outside of the Guidance Office. 

Please donate blood and help save a life. 

Encourage your family members and friends to come & donate at our clinic too. 

Help St. Joe's recapture our national title for the most amount of blood collected!

PINK SHIRT DAY

Hey Lasers, tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day!  

Wear your pink shirt to show you will not tolerate bullying.  

All students are encouraged to wear a pink shirt this Wednesday with uniform bottoms.

YOUNG AUTHORS CONTEST

All entries for the OECTA Young Authors contest must be submitted by the end of the day today to be considered for our school contest.  

Please hand in your entries, with entry forms, to Mrs. Koppeser or your English teacher. 

Entry forms can be found on the Literary Laser board upstairs near the elevator.

 PRAISE TEAM
There is a rehearsal for all members of the Praise Team on Tuesday and Thursday this week.


Could all members of the Praise Team please report to the chapel at lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.  

If you are unable to attend the practice, please see Mrs. Cabana in room 151.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
