TERRY FOX RUN
Our Annual Terry Fox Walk for a Cure walkathon will be taking place THIS Friday, September 16th and students from the leadership classes will be coming to classes to collect donations. A minimum of $5 will allow you to take part in the walk.


STUDENT COUNCIL

For all grade 9 students interested in running to be a Gr. 9 Rep on this year's Student Council, there will be an information meeting at lunch today in Room 154.
Again, all grade nine students who are interested in running for grade nine rep in this years student council, there will be a meeting at lunch today in room 154.

JR GIRLS BASKETBALL
Attention all girls in grade 9 or 10 here at St. Joe's. The last tryouts for the junior girls basketball team will begin tonight immediately after school in the gym.

CONCERT BAND

Do you play a wind instrument or the drums? Did you get the chance to sign up to be part of our amazing concert band?

If you already play a wind instrument or the drums, it's not too late to sign up for the concert band. Go to the music room today at lunch to sign up, that's room 164.

Did you sign up for band and you don't have your own instrument?

See Ms. Bisnaire in room 164, the music room, today at lunch to find out how to borrow a free instrument from school. If you don't have your own instrument for concert band, see Ms. Bisnaire today at lunch in room 164.

 BACK TO SCHOOL SALE
Today your LCC is open for a back to school sale that can put some personalized binders into your hands for dirt cheap. 

Come check out the goods and the study distractions available today at lunch in the LCC.
All proceeds will go to the grade 11 environmental course for the recycling program next semester. All our welcome to purchase items and the profit goes towards a cleaner greener school

The first official meeting of the gaming club will take place in room 217 at lunch Thursday Sept 15th

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
