BADMINTON TEAM

Half of the Senior Badminton Team competed at the City Championships last night at Massey.

We had a fantastic night, as our Mixed Teams of Frosina Filiposka and Carter Campbell, and our Women's Doubles Team of Jane Buckingham and Camila Ayala-Osorio each captured a Bronze medal in their events. They will move on to the County Championships on Saturday. Please wish them good luck!

The Men's Teams compete tonight at Massey!

SENIOR GIRLS SOCCER

Your senior girls soccer team had their home opener yesterday under perfect weather conditions and dropped a tough 2-1 decision to Villanova.

Once again, early goals by the opposition proved to be the Lasers' downfall as the Wildcats scored in the 4th and 22nd minute to go up by a pair.

Kadence Ingram scored a beautiful long range shot in the 27th minute to bring the girls back to within one and despite having a couple of great chances to tie the game, they could not muster the tying goal. Special mention to Grade 9 Myla Blondin who truly controlled the back portion of the field and made it difficult at all times for the visitors to get near our goal.

SHOW ME YOUR LUNCH CONTEST

All week long we will be running the show me your lunch contest in the atrium.  A great habit you can adopt to help the environment is to only pack reusable containers in your lunch, and try to reduce your waste where you can. Plastic sandwich bags and wrappers just add to the world's ongoing plastic waste problem.

If you can show us that the majority of your packed lunch is tupperware and other reusable containers, we will give you a prize! See you in the atrium -- and show us your lunch.

GUIDANCE

Attention all grade 12 students
