FUN IN THE SUN SPIRIT WEEK
Hey, lasers! A reminder that tomorrow is our full dress down fun in the sun day! attire can include capris or shorts, tee shirts, sundresses, capris, sandals etc. No beachwear allowed. 

VALEDICTORIAN
This reminder is for all students who are graduating this year. If you are interested in being class valedictorian, please log on to Google Classroom and submit the nomination form by Friday, March 27th. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Flynn or Mr. Hind.

BATTERY DRIVE
The Upcycled Climate Club will be collecting old batteries and old electronics in the atrium at lunch until tomorrow. Ask your parents, friends, or even neighbours if they have any batteries/electronics that they would like to hand in to be properly recycled! Thank you in advance!

MUSKOKA WOODS
Leadership students... today is the last day to apply online for Muskoka Woods. Applications shut down at 3:00 today.

EUROPE TRIP
There will be an important meeting regarding Europe Trip today at lunch in Room 201.

COR RETREAT WEEKEND
Attention all Gr. 10, 11 and 12 Students, do you need a break from the busyness of life? Do you want an opportunity to discover who you are and who you're meant to be? If so, a COR Retreat weekend may be what you need! The next COR is being held Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Essex. Pick up an application on the wall, outside of Campus Ministry or see Mrs. Walls for online registration.

MARCH BREAK BLOOD DRIVE
Attention students 17 and older: Canadian blood services need you (and your blood!). Please consider going into their donation centre over March break, located at 3909 Grand Marais East, to give the gift of life. Please see Maya Toma if you are interested or with any questions. 

CO-OP APPLICATIONS
This is a message for all grade 10 and 11 students:  Did you select co-op for next year?  Have you completed and submitted your co-op application?  If not, please do so ASAP and return your completed form to the guidance office.

There are new articles on the Laser News website! Read all about Tampon Tuesday, The Upcycled Climate Club, and check out our Student Help article about volunteer hours! Go to the STJ Student Portal and click on the Laser News icon to check them out!

UPCOMING SCHOLARSHIPS
Attention all potential graduates. Thousands and thousands of dollars are available just for you!!!! A new round of scholarships are now available for the months of March and April. Check out the guidance web page for further information or register with YCONIC, Scholartree or Scholarships Canada to view all scholarships available both locally and nationally.

UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR ESSAY CONTEST
Information for graduating grade 12 students attending the University of Windsor. There is an essay contest and you are asked to write an essay on the topic "How might Religion/Spirituality be used to promote peace in the contemporary world?" The deadline is April 1. The prize is $300 and a plaque. More information can be found on the Literary Lasers board (2nd floor next to the elevator). See Dr. Brode in room 204 or 208 if you have any questions.

OUTSTANDING SCHOLARS
Are you interested in the Outstanding Scholar Programme at the University of Windsor? You will get paid to work in a research position in your discipline/major for up to 6 semesters. The deadline is April 15. Information can be found on the Literary Lasers bulletin board upstairs - next to the elevator. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to Dr. Brode in room 204 or 208.

LITERACY CLUB
Attention all Grade 10 and 11 students: The Literacy Club will take place today after school in Room 161 from 3pm until 4pm. Be sure to bring a friend! All new members are always welcome. Snacks will be provided. See you there!
