Monday's Announcements

KINGS UNIVERSITY & WESTERN UNIVERSITY
Grads, please take note of the following school visits this week.  Representatives from each school will be in the atrium at lunch: Kings University will be here Tuesday, November 19 (Which is tomorrow) and Western University will be here Wednesday November 20.

ST. CLAIR COLLEGE OPEN HOUSE
The St. Clair College Open House is Saturday, November 23 from 10 am to 1pm.  All campuses will be open.

WINTER BALL
It's that time of year lasers! Hop aboard the polar express for this years winter ball taking place on December 6th! Contracts will be available at lunch in the atrium starting today until Wednesday November 20th, and ticket sales begin Thursday November 21st and will continue until Thursday November 28th. Tickets are $40!

COMPLIMENT CARDS
Reminder that the Social Justice Committee is running a compliment card station at lunch in the atrium starting today until Thursday November 21st in honour of Anti Bullying week! Make sure to stop by and write out some compliments for your friends! Cards will be delivered Friday period 1, so make sure you know your friend's homeroom numbers!

POETRY IN VOICE
Poetry in Voice is a National Recitation Contest. Our school has been involved in this contest for the past 9 years and we had two students make it to the finals for the past two years. There are 3 streams: English, French and Bilingual. Any student who wants to know more about the Poetry in Voice competition, please see Dr. Brode in room 208 at lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 20.


SHSM FIELD TRIP
A reminder to the SHSM students that are signed up for tomorrow's field trip to check your email for details and meet in the atrium at 9:00 sharp for the bus. 

UNITED WAY DRIVE
Attention All Staff: It's that time of year again. United Way forms have been put in your mailboxes. Please read the attached sheet to the form and make the choice to get involved in donating to United Way. They need your help to keep all of their community programs going in Windsor and Essex County. Please complete forms and return them to room 155 or Ms. Touma's mailbox. All forms must be handed in by Thursday November 28, 2019. See the message on the google community for further information. In advance, thank you for your cooperation and participation!

SUNRISE WINDSOR

Sunrise of Windsor is looking for volunteers during the day, evenings, and on weekends.  Volunteers are needed for the following areas: special events, van outings, current news and events, crafts/art/painting programs, coffee and chat programs, socials and birthday celebrations, trivia and jeopardy programs, meditation programs, and one-on-one visits with residents.  If interested, please contact Alison Zima at 519-974-5858 ext. 209 or windsor.avc@sunriseseniorliving.com.  More info can be found by clicking the volunteer button on the Laser portal.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

THE FONTAINEBLEAU LIBRARY CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Fontainebleau Library is looking for volunteers for their annual Christmas party on Saturday, November 30th from 10:30 - 2:00.  Student volunteers will receive 5 hours of community service for the day.  Jobs include face painting, crafts, book reading, etc.  If interested, please contact Helen McLaughlin at 519-982-4406.  Please leave a message if needed.

BOYS HOCKEY
There will be a meeting at lunch today in room 160 for all hockey players including AP's to go over this years agenda and our starting lineup for Wednesday's game.

GIRLS HOCKEY
Please dismiss members of the girls hockey team at 1:45 today for their game in Amherstburg.

PROM COMMITTEE
Reminder that there is a prom committee meeting at lunch today in room 257

EUROPE TRIP
Attention all students going on the Europe trip. There is a mandatory meeting on Wednesday November 20th at lunch in room 201. That’s all students going to Europe trip this year, there is a mandatory meeting at lunch in room  201. All students please be prompt. 

NEW YORK TRIP
There will be a very important New York meeting on Thursday at lunch in room 257.
