UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR
The University of Windsor Fall Open House is tomorrow from 10am to 4pm.  It is recommended that you register on-line for this event.

TAKE YOUR KIDS TO WORK DAY
A reminder goes out to grade 9 students that this year's Take Your Kids To Work Day takes place on Wednesday, November 6th.  Please be sure to return your permission forms to your period 1 teacher on or before Monday, November 4th.

STUDENT CARD PHOTOS
Any student who has not been photographed for a student ID card. Lifetouch will be available at their studio on Saturday, November 16 between 10:00 am and 12:00pm. Students will be photographed on a first-come basis. Students are required to wear their uniform shirt. Lifetouch Studio is located at the University of Windsor in the CAW Student Centre Unit B-101. MISSING JACKET
There was a black and white Puma zip-up jacket that was hanging on the Phys. Ed. office door at 3pm on Wednesday. If you are the individual who has the Puma jacket, Mrs. Fetter would love for you to return it to the P.E. office on Monday. No questions asked.  

HEALTH AND BUSINESS SHSM
A reminder to the GR 11 SHSM health and wellness and Business students interested in the Customer Service certification. You need to stop and pick up a permission form from Mr. Gilbert or the PE office. The trip is limited to 30 students so first to return their forms will be taken.

BLOOD DRIVE
For all those that donated blood on Wednesday, your casual dress day will be next Friday, November 8. There will be a list posted outside of the Literacy office in the LCC, and you will receive a pass in your homeroom class. Thanks again for making the drive a success! 

GO, ENG GIRL,
This is an important announcement for female students in gr. 9 or 10, interested in pursuing engineering.  The University of Windsor, Faculty of Engineering will be hosting the annual Go ENG Girl event on Saturday, November 16 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.  The morning consists of hands-on activities, guest speakers, and an opportunity to interact with female faculty members and undergraduate students.  Spaces are limited.  For registration information, pick up a flyer in guidance.

NATIONAL YOUTH FORUM
The Forum For Young Canadians is seeking young leaders to participate in a national youth forum on Parliament Hill. A variety of dates are available from February 2020 to March 2020 but applications are due no later than November 30th. Spaces are limited and there is a cost to this programme. For further information go to www.forum.ca or come into the guidance office and talk to your St Joe's guidance team.

SUPER SANTA 5K
The Essex Region Conservation Foundation is calling local high school students to volunteer for the Super Santa 5 km walk/run on Saturday, November 16th in downtown Amherstburg.  Two shifts are available, 11am-4pm and 4pm-7pm.  To register to see the flyer on the volunteer board in the guidance office or click the volunteer link on the Laser Portal.

RED FOR ED
A reminder for all staff to meet outside the cooking room for a Red for Ed photo.

FOOTBALL
The St. Joes Laser Football team defeated Vista 20 to 3 on their home field.  The season highlights include 150 points scored by the lasers and only 7 points against.  No team scored a touchdown on our defence all season. The game highlights include touchdowns by Brian Tonkin and Josh Maadi, 2 field goals by Andrew Ferro and an extra point by Joe Marku.  Special thanks to all of the coaches especially Bill Lefave and Riley Murphy for all of their time and dedication.  Also special thanks to Mr. Helfort for the team banner. 

BOYS HOCKEY
The list is up for returning players for Tuesday's tryout and any football and volleyball player who did not have a chance to tryout please see Mr. Sok's.

WRESTLING
Did you know that two World Wrestling Medals were won for Canada this year by women from our area? Linda Morais won Gold in Kazakhstan, and Jade Dufour won bronze in Hungary.  Did you remember the wrestling Meeting today at lunch in room 159? Have you picked up your forms and waivers from Mr. Menard or Mrs. Carpio-Sementilli yet? No? Then come to the Wrestling meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 159. Permission forms and waivers must be completed and returned a.s.a.p. Wrestling Practices begin next Tuesday after school. You can train this Sunday with two-time Olympic and six-time world champion Sergei Beloglazov. Come to the meeting TODAY at lunch in Room 159.

SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL
Any boys interested in trying out for this year’s team, please sign up using the form posted on the phys ed bulletin board. Your name must be on the sign up sheet to tryout. DANCE TEAM
Please sign up by the drama room if you are interested in auditioning for the dance team. There will be an information meeting during lunch in the drama room today!
