2020 GRADUATION SWEATERS
Hey, grads pay close attention to the google classroom and the St. Joes grad wear Instagram account as this Sunday, at 3pm, the online store for your sweaters will be open and there will be a coupon code as well! 

ST. CLAIR COLLEGE
The St. Clair College Open House is Saturday, November 23 from 10 am to 1pm.  All campuses will be open.

WINTER BALL
Tickets are now available for this year's Winter Ball taking place on December 6th at the Caboto Club! Tickets are $40 and will be available until Thursday, November 28th. Also if you have not yet picked up a contract they are still available in the laser box where tickets are being sold and are needed in order to purchase a ticket! Make sure to act fast as tables are filling fast! 


CRÊPE SALE
Today is the day Lasers! We are selling tickets for this year’s Crêpe Sale TODAY in the atrium at lunch. We have four types of crêpes:
Banane-Nutella $3
Pomme-Caramel $4
Dinde Dîner $5
Explosion de brownie $5
The Crêpe Sale itself will be Wednesday, November 27th, during P 3 & 4 (that’s next week!) Tickets are limited, so get yours today! All proceeds go to the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County.

UNITED WAY DRIVE
Attention All Staff: It's that time of year again. United Way forms have been put in your mailboxes. Please read the attached sheet to the form and make the choice to get involved in donating to United Way. They need your help to keep all of their community programs going in Windsor and Essex County. Please complete forms and return them to room 155 or Ms. Touma's mailbox. All forms must be handed in by Thursday, November  28, 2019. See the message on the google community for further information. In advance, thank you for your cooperation and participation.

OMHA BURSARY
Hockey players know first-hand the commitment needed to succeed at a high level on the ice and in the classroom. The OMHA is proud to partner with the Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) to present the Bursary Program which provides minor hockey players recognition of their outstanding commitment to Community service, Athletics and Academics. Please note that the following Hockey players are invited to apply for this scholarship: Requests can only be made for active players aged up to twenty years and must have been a registered player in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association for a minimum of five years. They must be a player attending a post-secondary institution during the 2020-2021 school year and maintain a high standard of academic excellence as well as be active in their local community programs (any community sport or social program). Further information and links to applications can be found through the Guidance icon found on the St Joeseph's Portal or come into Guidance and talk to your Guidance team. We would be more than happy to help!

FANTASTIC FATHER'S DAY WITH SANTA
Fantastic Fathers is looking for volunteers to help with their "Day with Santa" tomorrow from 12:30-4:30 at the WFCU Center.  If interested please visit their Facebook page (Fantastic Fathers) and message them directly.

SJV CHRISTMAS PLANT ORDER FUNDRAISER
Attention former St. John Vianney Students!  SJV is looking for volunteers to act as runners for their Christmas plant order fundraiser on Tuesday, November 26 right after school until 6:30/7:00 pm.  You will receive 5 hours of community service for your help.  If interested, please sign up in the Guidance office.  The last day to sign up will be Monday, November 25.

OPTIMIST CLUB BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
The Optimist Club of Forest Glade is looking for volunteers for their 3rd annual breakfast with Santa and toy drive on Saturday, November 30th.  Volunteers are asked to arrive at 9:00 am.  If interested, please contact Barbara at 519-979-6118 or bmatis@citywindsor.ca.  More information can be found on the laser portal by clicking on the volunteer button.

SUNRISE OF WINDSOR
Sunrise of Windsor is looking for volunteers during the day, evenings, and on weekends.  Volunteers are needed for the following areas: special events, van outings, current news and events, crafts/art/painting programs, coffee and chat programs, socials and birthday celebrations, trivia and jeopardy programs, meditation programs, and one-on-one visits with residents.  If interested, please contact Alison Zima at 519-974-5858 ext. 209 or windsor.avc@sunriseseniorliving.com.  More info can be found by clicking the volunteer button on the Laser portal.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
A few of your Lady Lasers basketballers deserve some recognition for their achievements this year! On the senior side, Captain Bhea Cabangon received honourable mention. And on the junior side Alessia Bozzi, Maya Fuerth, and Gaby Grubesic (groo-beh-sick) were all 1st team all-stars. All of these ladies will be representing your school on Nov 29th in the league all-star games! Congrats girls!!

WRESTLING
Attention Wrestlers: Check the Information board outside of the PhysEd change rooms. Reminders are posted for this Saturday's tournament. There are also eating and nutrition tips for wrestlers concerned about weight. Talk to Mrs. Carpio-Sementilli (Room 159) or Mr. Menard (Room 167) if you have any questions.

BOYS HOCKEY
This is a reminder for those players who have not picked up their Away Jerseys and who have to pay for league fees and jersey deposits. Please see Ms. Grieg for your fees and schedules. Also Congrats to the team for their home opener win against Holy Name on Thursday 6-2. Daniel Richards led the way with a couple of goals and singles went to Jaqwan Simmonds, Noah Morneau, Gabe Piccolo, and Aaron Donelly.

DANCE TEAM
Attention all members of the dance team, please come to the drama room to pick up an important form that must be filled out. Choreographers for the production piece will meet in the drama room today during lunch. 

CHESS CLUB
Students interested in flexing their chess muscles or looking for a fun way to improve their thinking skills can do so every Wednesday from 3-4 in room 260. See Mr. Younan for chess club details.
