A Call for Writers - VOICES Poetry Journal
In June 2019, Poetry In Voice will launch its first issue of VOICES, a student poetry journal. If you are a student in grades 9 through 12, please send your original poems online by April 30, 2019. 

There are two types of submissions. 

1. Choose one of our anthology poems and write a response poem.

2. Write a poem based on one of our writing prompts

BOYS HOCKEY
Congratulations to the boys team who defeated General Amherst 8-2. Goal scorers were Jacob Prsa with 2 and singles to Brayden Mayea, Matti Dimoff, Michael Flay, Aaron Donnelly, Daniel Richards, and Mitch Gruich. Our next game is this Thursday against St. Anne's at the WFCU. The coaching staff will keep you posted if there is a change in the starting time

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TEAM FOR WINNING THEIR HOME GAME LAST NIGHT AGAINST VISTA! IT WAS A TEAM EFFORT, EVERYONE PLAYED WELL, WAY TO GO GIRLS!


SENIOR BOYS BASKETBALL
The senior boys basketball team did a great job winning back a 12 point lead in overtime last night at Massey. The boys were up 12 but Massey made a valiant comeback to force overtime. However, led by Liam Gilbert and Gabe Rosate's 26 points each and a GREAT  defensive effort by Jordon Goulet, the boys won 86 to 81. Great work. Film today at lunch! 


JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL
The junior boys basketball team had an impressive road win last night at Massey. The boys were led by a strong defensive effort by Raffia Lavilla and a 23 point night for Michael Creston. 


SCHOLARSHIPS
Attention all Grade 12 students!

The Optimist Club is accepting applications for their annual Oratorical contest which includes scholarships valued from $1000 - $22 500 as well as the essay contest valued at $2 500.

See Miss Cuderman in Guidance or Dr Brode in room 208 for further information and application forms. Applications for all scholarships are due no later than Friday February 8th.


NIGHT SCHOOL
Lasers, the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board will be offering night school courses beginning February 19.  The courses include Fit for Life, Co-op, Computer Programming, Introduction to Computers and Cooking.  If you are interested, please see your guidance counsellor as soon as possible for more information.  Limited spots are available.


BADMINTON CLUB
Badminton Club resumes tomorrow morning at 7:15. See you there.
