SCHULICH SCHOLARSHIP
Attention to all grade 12 students going into STEM careers...St Joseph's high school is looking for nominees to represent our school. To be eligible for this prestige scholarship you must be applying for a STEM programme at an approved University in Canada for the fall of 2019. Unfortunately, the University of Windsor is not one of the designated schools.

Students must self-nominate to be considered. Please see Miss Cuderman in guidance for further information. To be considered you must come to guidance no later than the end of the school day this Friday, December 14th.

LASER NEWS
Attention to all Laser News team members, there will be a very important meeting tomorrow in Room 212 at lunch. You must bring your $5 contribution for our potluck on December 20th. Again: (repeat).


BOYS HOCKEY
Mr. Sok's would like to see all the players who did not receive permission forms for the tournament at last nights game. You must have them signed and returned by Thursday with your hockey fees if you wish to play in the tournament and Catholic Cup.

St. Joe's defeated Vista by a score of 8-1 yesterday afternoon. This was a game of firsts for players scoring this year, Joquan Simmons, Ethan Muxlow and Conner Hay who had a goal and 2 assists. Other goal scorers were Brayden Mayea with 2 and Matty Dimoff and Aaron Donnelly with one goal each. 


The boys will be playing in the South West tournament Monday and Tuesday which will prepare them for the Father Zakoor Cup on Friday, December 21. Tickets will go on sale for $3.00 starting on Tuesday to Thursday. Go Lasers!


GIRLS HOCKEY
Please dismiss members of the Girls Hockey team at 2:35 today for their game at the WFCU against St. Anne.


BOYS BASKETBALL
Last night, the senior boys lost a heartbreaker at Herman––64 to 53. Great effort. Practice today is at 2:55pm. Don't be late.

UNITED FANDOMS CLUB & ECO CLUB
A reminder to Mr. Barron's club members. The Fandom Club has its last meeting of the year at lunch today in Room 217. As well, the Eco Club will be meeting in Room 217 after school today. New members are welcome at each of today's meetings. 


CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The music department is very grateful for everyone who attended the Christmas Concert last night as well as today during period 1.  Ms. Bisnaire would like to thank the extraordinary members of the concert band, the vocalists, instrumentalists, and dancers.  The concert was a huge success due to your amazing talent.  Thank you also to our tech team for a flawless show.  Christmas is right around the corner and we wish you all a merry one!
