POETRY IN VOICE
There will be an open rehearsal for all students competing in the Poetry in Voice contest on Monday after school in Rm. 212.  Come out to practice and get some feedback on your recitations from some of the judges.  Good luck to all our contestants next Thursday!

BUSINESS BAKE SALE

Mr. Gilbert has a 30 second announcement to promote this week’s upcoming Christmas Bake Sale taking place on Thursday, Dec. 15

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Win up to $22,500 in scholarships for writing and speaking!  Optimist International is sponsoring an essay and oratorical contest.  

The theme of this year's essay contest is "Chasing Optimism in the Face of Challenges" and the topic for the speaking contest is "What the World Gains from Optimism." 

Deadlines are not until the new year, but you may want to work on your essays and/or speeches over the Christmas Break.

SCHULICH LEADER SCHOLARSHIP

IF you are interested in being nominated for the Schulich Leader Scholarship please READ the criteria on the scholarship bulletin board.  

IF you qualify make an appointment by Tuesday Dec. 13th to see Mrs. Bon-Pickering .  *Please write Schulich Scholarship on the appointment slip.  

An appointment will be made later in December to discuss the process with all those interested.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY


The Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign desperately needs volunteers until Dec 24th.  

Three three-hours shifts are available per day in Tecumseh, Windsor and LaSalle.
