Friday's Announcements

HOCKEY

 Last night, the Laser boys hockey team had their home opener against the Leamington Lions. 

 Leamington came into the game and caught the  boys off guard through the first 2 periods building a 3-0 lead over the Lasers.

 Coming out for the 3rd period, the Lasers responded with a period of total domination keeping the Lions in their zone for the greater part of the period. 

 Your Lasers battled back and earned a 3-3 tie, scoring all 3 goals in the 3rd period.

 Goal scorers were Carter Comeau with a goal and an assist, Christian McBride, and Daunte DiMario-Done with a beautiful slap-shot from the point. 

 Brayden Mayea chipped in with 2 assists, while Michael Flay, Kyle Brothers, and Evan Ferguson all had assists.

 Our next game is Wednesday Dec. 7th at Tecumseh Arena. Come on down and root for the team!

 SEARS DRAMA FESTIVAL
Students interested in auditioning for the Sears Drama festival (English play) are asked to sign-up on the drama room door.

There will be a meeting on Wed. Dec. 7 after school in the drama room.

CHRISTMAS ART SHOWCASE
A reminder to all Christmas Show participants:

Sign up for an audition time on the drama room door.  

Singers audition on Thurs. Dec. 8 and Fri. Dec.9 at lunch and after school.  

Dancers audition on Wed. Dec. 14 at lunch and after school.  

 You must sign up and audition to participate.

 PRAISE TEAM

 Attention to all of those students who are involved with the music for the upcoming Advent mass.
The Praise Team will be holding rehearsals on Tuesday, December 6th and Thursday, December 8th in the chapel at lunch.

LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS CAN DRIVE DRESSDOWN Attention lasers! The STJustice Club would like to thank you for your outstanding participation and generosity in this year’s AM800 can drive, bringing the win with the most donations in all of Windsor-Essex. As promised, there will be a full dress down this Wednesday, January 18th.   DANCE TEAM A reminder to the dance team that we have a morning practice TOMORROW Jan 17th. WRESTLING TEAM The Laser Wrestling Team travelled to Sarnia to compete last Saturday. Bringing home Gold medals were Jaclyn Lacoboni and Daniel Piccolo, Silver medals were Joy Uchenna and David Ferro, and a Bronze medal was Evan Fransen. Anthony Mailloux took fourth place. Everyone fought well and fought hard. Despite his injury, Max Thibault demonstrated great composure and class, and showed everyone the fierce spirit of our school. If you see any of our wrestlers in the hallway, congratulate them and perhaps come out to support them at the next tournament this Saturday

 LASER NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS QUEBEC TRIP Everyone who is going on the Quebec Trip, we will be having a meeting TOMORROW at lunch in room 203.  NEW YORK TRIP There will be a mandatory meeting for all those attending the New York trip tomorrow at lunch in room 261. Please bring your fundraiser order forms and money.  DRAMA SWAG  St. Joes Drama Community. Today is the last day to submit your money for this round of Drama t-shirt and hoodie orders. Please have your money in to the main office by the end of lunch today and make sure your order has been placed on our Google Classroom. Orders will go in today and are expected to arrive within a week.
